If your interview answer only works when the question is worded exactly as expected, it needs more practice.
I would rather hear a slightly imperfect answer with a real decision behind it than a smooth answer that could belong to anyone. The preparation needs to uncover that decision.
Here is the exercise I would use: Read the draft aloud, remove language you would never use and shorten any background that delays the point. Ask for a clarity check, then make the final wording yourself. Natural delivery is part of credible preparation.
