This morning, I landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja. We were directed to a section for Nigerian passport holders. Before me were e-gates, similar to the ones at Heathrow Airport.
I simply scanned my passport and it opened one gate for me. Then I took off my cap and glasses and it scanned my face and opened the second gate. That’s it! I was in!! No long queues. No excessive greeting from any immigration officer asking me what I brought back for them. Less than 1 minute and I was in!!!
Honourable Minister @BTOofficial and CG @nigimmigration, I just want to say THANK YOU! I am proud of you both. God bless you!!

🇵🇸🇸🇳 President Bassírou Diomaye Diakhar Faye: “Entire generations have grown up in Palestine in the shadow of oppression. They are deprived of their fundamental rights to a viable state. Senegal, as the chair of the committee on the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people calls for an immediate lasting ceasefire. This war spares no woman no child, it's it does not spare vital infrastructure and is an open wound on the international conscience. It's vital that international humanitarian law be restored in all conflict zones.”

🇵🇸 🇳🇬 Vice-President Kashim Shettima Mustapha GCON: “Today, we are all witnesses to the heart-wrenching situation in Gaza and other Palestinian Territories… Justice is antithetical to revenge. Freedom is an inalienable right and a natural entitlement that cannot be denied to any people. The Palestinian people deserve their independence. They deserve to have a home of their own on territories already recognised by this very Assembly and by international law, which is being routinely ignored.“

If you rightly condemn Russia for their depravity as they bomb hospitals and kill children, but continue to sell arms to Israel, who have killed over 14,000 children (and counting) and destroyed Gaza's hospitals with impunity, then you are a hypocrite. Simple.

The reaction of @jeremycorbyn to @Keir_Starmer becoming Prime Minister says it all: “good luck to him”.
The decency & straight talking of the man stands in stark contrast to the shrill perma-hysteria of most Westminster journalists & many of his critics.
