Had the privilege to interview @Svigel about his book on eschatology in the Church Fathers. Here is a 90 second snippet of the interview. His book will be a very important resource!

"Error, indeed, is never set forth in its naked deformity, lest, being thus exposed, it should at once be detected. But it is craftily decked out in an attractive dress, so as, by its outward form, to make it appear to the inexperienced...more true than the truth itself." Irenæus

Since there's been some wider interest in my recent FB posts regarding Preterism and Kenneth Gentry's new Revelation commentary. I decided to post my thoughts on my actual blog, for easier access. miskawilhelmsson.com/categor…

I saw an intriguing post by @miskaw on Facebook today concerning Preterism. Everyone knows that the evidence from the early church is primarily premillennial, but Miska helpfully notes that Irenaeus is very specific and detailed in arguing against those he thinks are wrong in their theological viewpoints (i.e., Against Heresies). Perhaps surprisingly, despite being premillennial, Irenaeus doesn't mention that anyone held to preterism on Matthew 24 or Revelation. That seems a bit strange to me if this was a viewpoint held in the early church. This seems to be a pretty strong indication that preterism was a late development in the church.

What is this even supposed to mean? I think these kinds of superficial pietistic quotes are NOT helpful at all. Of course it still means something that you are A MAN, even if you are an ungodly man! An ungodly man is still A MAN created in the... (see full comment in screenshot)

There's many other easier ways to prove this argument as false. But none as pointed. And fun 🔥🧊

Yes! People thousands of years ago were far more intelligent than are we. We've been the beneficiaries of some key technological discoveries, but on the whole are far less intelligent today. We have degenerated both physically and intellectually.
The Bible explains what this video can’t. People used to be smarter than us, especially before the flood. They weren’t cave men. They could do things we can’t do today. youtu.be/QtotpFJhzgg
