Right wing men with wives and children clenched their jaws, swallowed a bitter pill, and voted for the GOP even after their betrayal over the past two years. Young men without children protest voted to burn the party down. Ironically, if they'd helped young men get married, start families, afford groceries, and buy homes we would likely not have been routed.

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying, “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.” Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

“[35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? [36] As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” [37] No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. [38] For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39 ESV

Elon Musk hasn't tweeted in ten hours. He saw the writing on the wall. Hopefully he's headed to a non extradition country.

Those who believe grace means God’s law no longer applies rarely end up free of law. They simply replace it with man-made laws, often built on someone’s perception of the "idols of the heart."

Noahide laws? Christians have a book about this called Galatians.

Every week one of our church members tries to give a summary of the previous week's sermon for the bulletin. This task is often made difficult by my terrible Japanese. Thankful when I see that my main points were communicated fairly intelligibly. God is merciful.

I used to boot up Sol Feace almost every day because of how epic this intro was. It had no business being this good. youtu.be/iC-PS2HNUNA

As much as I would have loved to have added Mass Effect, Morrowind, Fallout New Vegs, and Dragon Age Origins... here is a list of what I actually played the most as a child.

My first videogame memories are of the old Atari my parents used to have--which had classic games like Tank and Pong. When I was about five, my parents bought us the original Nintendo Entertainment system with the gyromite robot. We had Duck Hunt, Zelda, and Mario Bros. We had a limited selection of games while we were in Alaska, but that changed when we moved back to Washington. My parents bought me a Gameboy when I was like 8 and I played the heck out of Final Fantasy Legends, Tetris, and Star Trek: 25th Anniversary. When I was about ten, my parents bought us the Sega Genesis (and later the Sega CD upgrade). We had Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe... but the games I really cut my teeth on were Pirates! Gold, and the Shining Force games. My older brother once borrowed a friend's TG16 for nearly a year, and I got to dig into games like Military Madenss and Bonk's Adventure. TG16 had such an amazing library of games. Later I would borrow a friend's SNES and no-life Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and Shadowrun during a summer vacation. Around that time my parents bought a PC strong enough to play games. They bought us a bunch of LucasArts games--including classic point and click adventure games like Monkey Island and Sam & Max, but also 3D titles like Dark Forces and Tie Fighter. We even had a flight stick for Tie Fighter which produced a lot of great memories. Also got to play great titles like Diablo and Sim City 2000. During highschool I got into the emulation scene, even using my High School's webservers to host a thriving Japanese rom site (thank you Mr. K for giving me unrestricted access to the servers). I played a bunch of Neo Geo roms which left a lasting memory, including Magical Drop 2, which was a load of fun--and helped me to clean up at the video game competition at Sakura-con in 1999, and walk away with most of the prizes, because the final game was a Magical Drop clone (Sakura Wars). I got a Playstation during my senior year of high school, but really only played through Lunar games and Tales of Destiny before I was off to college. Aside from a GBA (Advance Wars, Golden Sun, Fire Emblem) and a couple of PC titles I mostly (Age of Empires, Shogun etc.) focused on my studies. Although my roomates did have a Sega Saturn at one point with a bunch of pirated games from Hong Kong--there was a racing game I put a bunch of time into. On breaks from school I had a chance to play games on my brother's Xbox/Xbox 360, where I no-lifed Fable (1 &2), KOTOR (1 & 2), Mass Effect (1-3), Dragon Age Origins, Oblivion etc. I really only got into gaming again after getting to Japan after grad school. My wife doesn't consider gaming to be a legitimate hobby, so my time gaming has significantly been curtailed since getting married--but thats probably for the best. Crazy how time flies. I had forgotten so many of these, it has been fun recalling those days.

Probably should have put Diablo 2 on here somewhere--maybe instead of Mario. I played Zelda more than Mario... but Mario is more iconic. Also no Atari games mentioned.

Hyped, but sad I'll have to retire a couple of characters in order to play this.

You think that its impressive that Noah fit all those animals into the Ark. Wait until I tell you how many mirthful and fantastical interpretations of the meaning of Noah's story the early church fathers were able to fit into it.

Oh, that's a really interesting detail in the story I never noticed before. *Checks the church fathers,* oh, there's an entire book length treatment on how this is really about holy virginity and the Eucharist.
