Ending conflict is one thing. Making and sustaining peace last is another.
That is where women’s leadership matters.
On the #PeaceDay, join @UN_Women in putting women at the centre of building peace that lasts. @unwomenliberia @UN_Liberia

🎀 Quality healthcare should never be a privilege.
Women’s health is a matter of rights and equality. Every woman deserves the opportunity to protect her health and well-being with dignity.

As we celebrate #UNDay today, let us reflect on the UN Charter’s 81st anniversary and renew global, regional, and national commitments to multilateralism, human rights and sustainable development. For @unwomenliberia, this is especially timely as we strengthen our work to advance inclusive development, gender equality and a robust peacebuilding agenda informed by its 3rd National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security.
As #Liberia prepares to assume the Presidency of the UN Security Council in December 2026, the country has an important opportunity to champion women’s leadership and strengthen the global Women, Peace and Security agenda.

October is about more than pink ribbons. While some feel inspired, many people living with breast cancer feel like the month-long campaign overlooks their experience with the disease.
This #pinkIctober let us call for greater awareness and sensitivity, early detection and compassion, most importantly access to quality healthcare, everywhere. @unwomenliberia @unwomenafrica @unwomenliberia #ForAllWomenAndGirls
We will continue to engage #young women and men for strengthening #GBV response. Skill development is an innovative step in the right direction as it links to economic empowerment of women. #ForAllWomenAndGirls
Youth Crime Watch of Liberia has launched an inclusive skills training programme in Nimba County under #EU-funded @UNSpotlight 2.0, led by @GenderMinistryL with #UNWomen support. Women and girls, including GBV survivors, are gaining skills in literacy, agriculture and livelihoods
Breast Cancer Awareness Month can mean different things to different people. For some, it’s a trigger — 31 days in the fall of pink-ribbon reminders of a disease that forever changed them. For others, it’s a chance to show their support for the more than 2 million women around the world who are diagnosed with the disease each year. #ForAllWomenAndGirls @unwomenafrica @unwomenliberia @UN_Liberia @SSTCUNW
This Pink October, we call for greater awareness, early detection and compassionate support for women affected by breast cancer. #ForAllWomenandGirls #PinkOctober

🚨 There's nothing funny about normalizing misogyny.
The words we normalize shape the attitudes we tolerate.
Dismissing #misogyny as "just a joke" perpetuates a culture where hating and harming women and girls is excused.
And there is #NoExcuse for it.

🎀 No woman should have to face health challenges alone.
Small acts of support, listening, sharing care responsibilities and simply being there can make a real difference.
This #PinkOctober, let's make support part of the conversation.
