Silicon Valley Bank’s shareholders and executives lose it all, as they should. Depositors in good faith, however, should recover and have access to their deposits in order to meet their payrolls, pay their suppliers, and to prevent contagion.

Watching German @ARD_Presseclub: Wish my fellow American voters had such media as the information base to cast their votes. Good job, German media.

The US President brought again several @OurWorldInData charts with him to an interview.
The interviewer wanted to see the comparison of deaths per capita with Germany and South Korea, but Donald Trump didn’t have it at hand.
Here it is.
.@jonathanvswan: “Oh, you’re doing death as a proportion of cases. I’m talking about death as a proportion of population. That’s where the U.S. is really bad. Much worse than South Korea, Germany, etc.”
@realdonaldtrump: “You can’t do that.”
Swan: “Why can’t I do that?”

Last night, I hit a wall. Gutted by the death toll. Disturbed by the govt's shortcomings. Dismayed by political rhetoric that bears no resemblance to reality. Worried about friends who are losing jobs; kids who are missing school; and senior citizens who are living in fear.
