Zimbabwe have qualified for the super 8s for the first time ever in a t20 WC , this means we don’t have to play qualifiers for the next t20 World Cup 🏏🇿🇼
Coming from a Zambian, this is both insane and laughable. 😂 Do you know how many Zambians live in Zimbabwe and have even acquired Zimbabwean IDs and now identify as Zimbabweans? Maybe think twice before calling people an “infestation.”

A massive congratulations to our Zimbabwe Sables on an incredible and hard-fought 36–33 victory over Namibia today!
Playing our first international match at this historic venue in over two decades, you showed true determination, resilience, and the unmistakable spirit of Zimbabwe. From our clinical execution at the set pieces, precision in the lineouts, to the decisive tactical kicking under pressure, it was a masterful display of rugby. Holding off a fierce comeback to secure this win right at the wire has made the entire nation immensely proud.
Thank you to the technical team, the players, and the thousands of fans who came out to lift our boys today. This is a monumental step forward for Zimbabwean rugby.
Keep flying the flag high, Sables! The journey continues.
Our lineout has improved! 🇿🇼 Considering how many key players we were missing, this was a solid performance. The second half was below par, though. It felt like the boys took their foot off the pedal.
I think it’s time we have an honest conversation about Hilton Mudariki. He has served Zimbabwe well and he deserves respect for that, but perhaps it’s time for a new chapter.
Tino Mavesere would be a great choice to lead the Sables into the future. 🇿🇼🏉

As our senior men's national rugby team, the Sables, take to the field today, I want to wish the entire squad and technical team the absolute very best. You carry the hopes and pride of an entire nation on your shoulders, and we have full confidence in your talent, discipline, and Zimbabwean spirit.
Regrettably, due to prior official commitments, I will not be able to attend the match in person today. I would have absolutely loved to be there in the stands to cheer on the Sables alongside you all.
However, my heart and spirit are entirely with the team. I urge everyone who can make it to pack the stadium, lift our boys with your voices, and paint the stands in our beautiful national colours!
Let us come together to show the world the roaring power of Zimbabwean support. Go forth and conquer, Sables!

That’s Pretoria , only South Africa has Jacaranda trees 🤷🏽♂️
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The photos are from Harare Zimbabwe including Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport not Pretoria. Jacaranda mimosifolia trees native to South America are commonly planted in Zimbabwe and elsewhere not only South Africa.

BULAWAYO–VICTORIA FALLS ROAD REHABILITATION: WORK IS ONGOING NOW
Rehabilitation is underway right now on the Bulawayo–Victoria Falls Road, with all eight contractors back on site, each targeting at least 20 km by December 2026. Works are being carried out in phases—bush clearing, detours, earthworks, drainage, surfacing and widening. This won't be completed overnight, but Government is committed to the project and prioritizing it, with the Ministry intensifying monitoring of scope, progress and quality. To date, 73.4 km has been rehabilitated. The project will improve safety, cut travel time and boost connectivity between Bulawayo, Hwange and Victoria Falls—currently a 15-hour journey. Motorists are advised to exercise caution at construction zones.
