The next project is well underway. Constructing a monolithic toll gate for the city. Residents were at one time able to come and go...
The Hope Springs / 金属加工 Industries mini-scene is complete. Over time I'll add some telephone poles and abandoned cars, but until then I'm really pleased with how these structures tuned out.
Hope Springs is finally looking less hopeful. Sifted shoulder gravel and ground foam do a great job of making the model look neglected, and help hide all the modelling sins.

I'm happy with the broken windows, but I didn't consider the door - a shapeless sheet of glass... Easier to fix had I not glues the windows in place...
I'm really happy with how convincing the galvanized ventilation pipes turned out. Once my new detail brushes arrive I'll be able to add a few small details.
Masking and airbrushing window mullions. (Far easier than brush painting... and I ruined my detail brushes)
The snap-tabs on Outland Models buildings are disguised with thin styrene strips. The styrene also gives the building more architectural variety.
Hope Springs Convenience / Apartments is underway! Adding a small utility shed to the roof. Scrap styrene for the basic structure and cast-off sprues for vent pipes.
