Threadguy reveals he's most up on Monero, Zcash, and Bitcoin, and is super bearish on meme coins right now
“I believe that it's there. And I think specifically the private money stuff, the hidden money in an era like this where everyone's coming for everything.
If it can hold up, it goes just infinite.
Monero, Zcash. That's what I'm the most up on: Monero, Zcash, and Bitcoin.
I'm super bearish on meme coins right now. Just beyond. I could not be more bearish. Maybe I'm backwards, but I remain optimistic, and I'm having fun.”
Threadguy explains why Bitcoin is the most attacked ecosystem in the world because it holds real money that can be stolen with no accountability
“There is one ecosystem that has been attacked and at war nonstop for 16 years straight from the best, smartest, most talented hackers in the entire world.
Because it is the perfect ecosystem to hack, with basically no repercussions, and the money is sitting there waiting for you to take it. Okay?
It isn't like PHP, where the greatest hackers in the world are trying to find some vulnerability in your WordPress website that you built in 2006. It's like, no, no, no. This is billions of dollars. If you could figure out how to crack this.”
Threadguy says the modern brain isn't built for markets or TikTok, and Alexander the Great would break on Reels
“The modern brain is not built to trade these markets, and it is definitely not built to navigate fucking TikTok, bro.
Can you imagine if you went to an untouched tribe and handed them your FYP for 20 minutes and let them scroll with a Red Bull and some Skittles? It would just destroy them.
I think you could break Alexander the Great with 15 minutes on my IG Reels FYP. I just think he would break. The conqueror of the world at 16.
Alexander the Great, a Red Bull and 15 minutes on my Instagram Reels, and I just think he would break. Straight up. He would break.”
Threadguy explains the mindset of being up millions and thinking about one more double
“It's incomprehensible, the size of their UPNL. And when you're up that much, you're just thinking about another double, one more double.
Think about it: when you're up that much, that fast, all you can think about is one more double. I'm one more double away from generational "fuck you" money forever.
One more double for taxes.
I've been on the phone with some people a lot because I've been in this spot, but not like that. Nowhere close. That's a big UPNL.
I've been on the phone with some people in the middle of it. Never have to work again. And all you can think about in that moment is, "Dude, what if it goes up even 25%?"
You're playing with numbers that are so large. It's like, what if it goes up 10% more on $27 million? That's another two and a half. That's like another retirement.”
Surveillor explains why he never uses leverage and what he does when he hits his max drawdown
“I never use leverage. I just don't feel like you need it with altcoins, since they can easily move 10% plus a day.
I have a strict max drawdown to prevent any crazy losses, around 20 to 25%. I don't remember the last time I hit it, but probably sometime last year. When it happens, I zero out everything in my portfolio.
After that, I would probably just log off for a month and work on trading tooling”
Surveillor says regulation and capital rotation are the two biggest bullish signals
“There are two things that make me really bullish on certain assets.
One is obviously there's a lot of regulatory progress, and that will continue at least until the end of the Trump term, and then we'll see after that.
The other thing is just the misallocation of capital in crypto and all these flows out of the majors. It's pretty obvious where the Zcash flows, and to some extent the Hyperliquid flows, are coming from: Bitcoin, ETH, Solana.”
Threadguy says everyone panicked about crypto's security while nobody worried about the regular internet
“Now, what I think is kind of interesting is that everybody was freaking out about what's gonna happen to cryptocurrency, like a month, three weeks ago or whatever about this, and nobody was concerned about the normal internet. Which is crazy.
I mean, the cryptography that protects some of these coins is 15 years battle-tested, highly sophisticated, to my understanding, versus some of these websites, which is like, I don't know. I don't really know what protects these websites. I don't really know how it works.”
Tayvano explains you shouldn't panic about AI hacks, but you should diversify how you secure your crypto
“The best advice I have for folks is, when you're not in a panic state, so when you're in a controlled, calm state, think about all the different assets that you have.
Think about all the different things that you have in your life that you value, whether that's your crypto, your investments, or certain accounts on your computer.
And think about how you could secure those, but also how you can maybe diversify those to be secured by different methods.
Because we are getting to a point where there is so much happening.
You don't want to get hacked and have your entire net worth wiped out, say. Right? It's better to diversify so that only one egg in one basket gets wrecked rather than all of the eggs in the one basket.
So spread things out, use different wallets, use cold storage, those sorts of things.”

one of those i think my life would be substantially better if i never opened this app again but i am still gonna do it days
Tayvano explains that the biggest way to protect your accounts is a hardware 2FA key
“The biggest thing people can do to level up is get a YubiKey or another hardware 2FA, carry it around, and put it on everything. It really does make a huge difference.
There are a lot of instances where things will be compromised, but because you have that hardware, they can't get into the most critical accounts.
So think about your Google account, your Dropbox, your Apple account, your computer, those sorts of things. The hardware helps a lot.
But I think it's something that most people still don't have.”
