Sacrificing 2 years to make a 10-15 minute short actually makes you very selective about which idea is worth chasing
When challenged to show a complete work this notorious anti-ai guy posted a single 3d model as his magnum opus, and how many such models does a complete game or short film need? hundreds to thousands at minimum
so whats the solution to achieving your creative vision? just spend 2 years on a single 15 minute short film or hope some rich studio funds you for which you must be in one of the few places in the world with abundant resources for it?
do these people want to defend the status quo with slow expensive work so they can go to their cafes and take their trips while working as an "artist"? at the cost of not making things more fair to those not as privileged as them and despite that burning to put their stories out into the world
is this what their activism amounts to? throwing tantrums and being selfish?

I'm worried the indie studios and publishers that get higher up the ladder will reproduce the very same exploitative, pernicious and ultimately ruinous practices that the AAA used.
Perhaps that's just my own experiences talking, but, I fail to see indies being *any* better.
