The best physics is in biology
Scientists are losing their minds over this paper.
They proved every mitochondria in your body is a tiny quantum device running at 71 THz.
And it responds to light.
Researchers detected a mysterious 71.0-terahertz vibration signal. this frequency is only present in healthy, living cells and tissues.
exact moment the cell dies or the mitochondrial structures are broken apart, the signal vanishes completely.
How does this happen?
Classical physics has always struggled to explain the high energy-efficiency of life.
So the team built a quantum model of light-matter coupling and discovered something called a "mito-polariton".
It is a literal quantum superposition state that forms when light couples with lipid ch2 bonds inside functional mitochondria.
This quantum resonance splits the intrinsic vibration mode into two levels, creating that bizarre 71 thz frequency that you only see in living things.
Why does this matter?
Because this quantum state actually acts as a highly efficient channel to modulate atp production in living cells.
our bodies literally use quantum mechanics to generate the energy that keeps us alive.

Should you walk in the sun or in the shade?
As temperatures rise, so does the cost of getting rid of excess heat.
And that cost rises sharply once you hit 35C. Above that, the air is as warm as your skin and convection and radiation don't help you cool off. So the optimal path is no longer a straight line, but a trade off between distance and the cost required to deal with the heat you are absorbing.
The result is a version of Fermat's principle or Snell's law. A well known principle in physics but applied to cost optimization in humans while incorporating biological constraints.
n_sun sin(θ_sun) = n_shade sin(θ_shade)
where n is the cost per metre and θ the angle to the shade boundary.
In the language of economics, you bend your path until a step sideways costs the same whether you buy it in sun or in shade. A no-arbitrage condition.
Enjoy the shade!

A major reason that it didn’t make sense to use AI to write an essay about a substantive topic is that until you write the essay you don’t actually know what you want to say or what you think. You think you do, but it is the writing itself that actually gets the thinking done.

Y no me refiero a la provincia, el pueblo... No, me refiero al punto concreto. Porque sabemos que en este eclipse la situación es clave.
¿Y si compartimos aquí el lugar exacto donde tenemos previsto verlo?

🚨 OPEN SOURCE AI IS LITERALLY UNSTOPPABLE 🚨
The legendary founder of Redis (Antirez) just dropped ds4 - a custom native inference engine built specifically for DeepSeek v4 Flash
This is earth shattering! Here is why:
DeepSeek v4 Flash is a quasi-frontier model with a massive 1M context window
You can now run it LOCALLY on a 128GB Mac using specialized 2-bit quantization
The architecture is reimagined—he moved the KV cache from RAM directly to the SSD disk! 🤯
We already know DeepSeek v4 Flash is insanely good for agentic loops - Now you don't even need the cloud to run it
Closed-source labs are burning tens of billions on massive GPU clusters while single brilliant developers are running frontier-level AI on laptops!
They told us open-source would be worthless against trillion-dollar monopolies
Instead, pure hacker culture + incredible open-weight models are completely rewriting the rules
Open Source will ALWAYS win 💕
