EXCLUSIVE: 4 star California WR Ty Johnson has FLIPPED his commitment from @ArizonaFBall to in-state rival Arizona State University he confirmed with SunDevilDaily this morning. Among the reasons for the flip, Johnson said that “Arizona State is a great program with a history of sending receivers into the league” and was primarily recruited by ASU’s Wide Receiver Coach and Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward. Johnson was Arizona’s only 4 star of the 2027 cycle according to 247’s recruiting class tracker furthering Head Coach Brent Brennan’s recruiting woes as they are set to host and lose to Iowa State tomorrow.
