youtube.com/watch?v=thiLADiw… This is a must-watch documentary on the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder and how the Malaysian justice system has intentionally failed to uncover the truth. None of the principal figures- Najib Razak, the two policemen who murdered her, Najib’s military aide Musa, and Razak Baginda- were held accountable. The entire Malaysia system refused to pursue justice. Razak Baginda has since reinvented himself as a geopolitical analyst with powerful connections (my jaw dropped when I saw who he was with in the documentary) and he was even invited onto a podcast by a former DAP MP who is KJ's main cheerleader. What does this tell you about this ex-DAP MP? I have said many times political -level corruption has become embedded in the Malaysian political system and it is not possible to stop political corruption, and this case involves too many people at the top. What began as a submarine corruption scandal shifted to an entirely different level the moment the PM’s name was linked. Will we ever know exactly what happened? We already know roughly 80% of the story, but the remaining 20%, the most important question of who actually ordered the murder, will almost certainly never be answered in my lifetime. Are you not concerned that political leaders can order the killing of an individual? Are we living in a mafia state? Mongolia lacks the power to force accountability. Most Malaysians will not prioritise this case because 1MDB is the focus. The only sanction available is for Malaysians to keep reminding one another whenever those named try to re-enter public life. It is also worth noting that Razak Baginda obtained a DPhil from Oxford despite the scandal. With enough money and connections, institutions such as Oxford appear unconcerned about a dark background. #Oxford #Murder #Malaysia #Altantuya #Mongolia #Justice #NajibRazak See less
