“Carr is best QB in draft” “Notre dame has best defense in college football” “No one can stop the run” Keep that same energy now that we won and give BYU, Bear, that defense, and those tight ends, their flowers they deserve. Don’t start making excuses now for Notre Dame. Keep that same energy when giving BYU its rankings.

Unfortunately I think BYU is going to lose…. …the first half!!! Than they’ll comeback and smoke those fighting Irish!!! Cougs by a million!

As a fan this is the BIGGEST game. But as a player sure it’s big but not for the same reasons as a fan… As a Fan: - ND vs BYU - Tickets are 10’s of thousands in some cases. - A new kind of holy war. Bragging rights. Pride in our teams - Both with rich long standing traditions. - Two top 10 teams: #2 vs #8 - College Game day and prime time TV. - Will determine rest of season for both teams. - A game to be remembered for good or bad potentially forever. Yeah..Safe to say it’s a big game! AS a PLAYER… I know exactly what these elite players are thinking. - This is not #2 in the nation Notre Dame. - This is not a team with “cool” tradition. - This is just the next team on our schedule getting in the way of our goals. - They bleed like us, they put their pads on the same way, they’re not special and neither are we. - Sure They’re thinking it’s big but there’s nothing “special” or different they’re going to do this week because they’re all of a sudden playing ND. - They’re going to follow their process, control the controllables, mitigate the “hype”, because thats all noise and gets in the way of execution and clarity. - They’ll play with emotion and passion as always but not because it’s ND but because it’s who they are and it’s just what they do. For both fans and players of course this is the BIGGEST game but for different reasons. Our win against #6 Wisconsin was way more fun years after the game! In the moment it’s fun but you’re always on the “next play” mentality so you don’t truly get to enjoy it. I hope the players can realize in the moment how fun it is to play #2 ND. But they won’t truly feel it till years after when they don’t have to cut the fun feeling short because they have to get to the next play or the next game. They’ll truly be able to look back at it one day and realize the impact it actually had. And how fun it actually was. Go Cougs!

I almost teared up watching Aarod create a majestic masterpiece of opportunity for those Tight Ends! Iowa state didn’t have any answers for the wide range of playmakers we have. Roger and Lyons were a huge part of the game and I feel like picked up the slack of not having LJ there. Hope he’s back soon. But without the ability to lean on LJ it was cool to see just how many play makers we have at all positions. Bear continues to shock me and doesn’t get the respect he deserves at a national level. Great game Fun to watch. Go Cougs

With a few key playmakers out of the offense with injuries (LJ, Legend)… Expect to see those big time Tight Ends starting to make their way to center stage!! I expect to see a lot more 12 personnel and utilizing those tight ends. Can’t wait 😏

This BYU Oline….Aarod, receiving core, couple of tanks in the backfield…this coug offense…HUMMING 🔥
