There was an M2 serum available for a good price, which let me mutate my cowboy @BoredApeYC into…
I know it sounds cliche but IRL really is the alpha.
Mudwater was stressful ngl. There was a lot to get into place right up until the last minute but we fucking did it and I'm so proud of the team and the work we put in.
clubhouse and anime are still coming btw, I know people wanted announcements or a keynote or whatever but sometimes the timing doesn't line up with apefest. That doesn't mean Yuga forgot or abandoned those plans.
Sometimes it's just about getting everybody together and having a good time.
I love that shit. Every year, seeing old friends and making new ones. Finally putting faces to names.
This club is special. I say it every year but we are in such a unique position to have connections all over the world that share this common interest.
If you're an ape, you have a friend in every city on earth. One in every hobby and every industry. It's hard to describe how unique and special our weird little group of internet jpeg collectors is.
I don't really know what the point of this post is other than to say I'm so thankful for the club and for everybody I met and didn't get to meet this weekend. So many people I wish I could've spent some time with, or more time with. Just know you're all always welcome in my part of the world. If you need a couch, or dinner recs, or a good cup of coffee, let's fucking do it. we don't need to wait for apefest every year.
I give my everything to this space because it's given everything to me. Y'all will always be family.
Bored Apes Forever.

Mudwaters is an old game me and the homies Squall, Zell, and Quistis used to play when we attended Balamb Garden 25 years ago. We used to call it Triple Triad.
Last month, the contracts powering Magic Eden were exploited to the tune of millions of dollars. I was lucky enough to be in a position to rescue a good portion of that, but it highlighted the danger of leaving approvals open as adversaries get access to better and better tools for finding holes in contract logic.
Today, Blur announced that they will be deprecating their frontend.
I've investigated Blur and found no exploits within the current contracts. However, the Blur contracts are upgradable, meaning that they could turn malicious at any time.
They currently have eight figures worth of NFTs approved to them. The safety of those NFTs effectively hinges on the opssec of the Blur team, which appears to be disbanding at this time.
If you have open approvals to Blur, I recommend you remove them immediately. Use revoke.cash or similar to ensure that you are protected in case of a contract exploit or later upgrade.
Don't wait. The time is now.

This is wild.
Abstract is forcing users who want to migrate funds to agree to terms of service that prevent them from being part of a class action lawsuit.
Users have the option to email within 30 days of acceptance but they have 100% buried this hoping people don’t notice

Years ago, I was sitting in an airport in NYC drinking a martini when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
It was @GordonGoner.
We were catching different flights, headed in different directions, but we stood there talking for a bit. And at some point in that conversation, I remember telling him something I still think about today:
I ride with BAYC all the way. Up, down, wherever this thing goes, I’m here for the entire ride.
I didn’t say that because I thought Apes were going up. I didn’t say it because I expected anything in return. I said it because I meant it.
The older I get, the more I realize that the journey is usually the most important part of the story.
We all know how the @BoredApeYC story started. We know how quickly it grew and how much has changed along the way. Five years into this Club existing, BAYC probably means something a little different to every one of us.
But I know what it means to me.
I’ve been a collector for most of my life.
When I was a kid, @seannana and I started with basketball cards. Simple pieces of cardboard with our favorite athletes printed on them. But to us, they were everything. We knew the players, the sets, the prices, the variations. We practically had the Beckett memorized.
As the world changed, collecting changed with it.
Eventually, those pieces of cardboard became digital collectibles. And in a world where technology moves faster every year, that evolution immediately made sense to me.
But collecting an Ape was different.
I remember watching @CryptoGarga and Gordon explain that one Ape represented one membership to the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
BOOM.
That was the moment it clicked.
I wasn’t just collecting another thing. I was joining something.
And over time, that became the part that mattered most.
I found people who were into the same weird things I was into. I met people whose lives were completely different from mine, but who I found endlessly interesting. I traveled places, experienced things, and made friendships that almost certainly would have never existed without this Club.
Sure, there have been perks along the way.
But when I look back on the last five years, the biggest perk was the journey itself.
It was the people I met.
The places we went.
The ridiculous moments.
The wins, the losses, the ups, the downs, and all the stories in between.
That’s why that conversation in the airport still sticks with me.
When I said I was here for the entire ride, I didn’t know where that ride was going to take us.
I still don’t.
And maybe that’s the point.
Five years later, I’m still here.
Still collecting.
Still meeting people.
Still making memories.
Still riding.

🚨 New COLDCARD firmware is available: 5.6.1 for Mk4/Mk5 and 1.5.1Q for Q.
This release follows three weeks of sustained review since our July 31 hotfix. We continue to acknowledge the customers who suffered severe financial losses from the seed-generation attack.
Every newly generated seed now requires one source of user entropy: at least 65 key presses with unpredictable timing, 50 physical dice rolls, or 128 physical coin flips. This input is combined with fresh entropy from the STM32 TRNG, SE1, and SE2.
The release also adds staged-PSBT verification immediately before signing, stronger USB and firmware-update boundaries, improved Delta Mode isolation, active-wallet backup fixes, stronger RNG initialization and fault checks, safer SIGHASH defaults, and many additional security and correctness improvements.
Important: Updating does not repair an existing seed generated on affected firmware. If the advisory applies to your seed, update your device, generate and verify a new seed, then move your funds.
We strongly recommend that all Mk4, Mk5, and Q users update and verify the signed firmware download.
Thank you to every researcher who reported issues, reproduced edge cases, reviewed fixes, and helped make this release stronger.

38 years ago today, Dade Murphy aka Zero Cool crashed 1507 computers, causing a 7 point drop in the NY stock exchange. He was 11 and his family was fined $45,000. He was banned from touching a computer until he turned 18.

When I sold 98% of my NFTs in early 2022, I kept my Cool Cats. I have a great collection. This was worth hundreds of ETH at the time. And literally the only reason that I hodl'd (and still hold) is because Clon is an iconic artist. Replacing him is an absolutely idiotic decision.
Today marks my final day at Cool Cats.
I’ve been drawing Blue Cat since 2013, starting as a doodle, to The Catoonist, to Cool Cats: a digital art collection, a Macy’s Parade balloon, and an animated series. Since I was little, all I ever wanted was to create a character of my own. Blue Cat is how that dream came true.
The Board has decided to take Cool Cats in a new direction, one that no longer includes me. I respect their decision, and I’ll always want the best for Blue Cat.
The closest thing I can compare this feeling to is raising a kid and watching them leave for college. I gave him everything I had over these 13 years, and now it’s time to wish him well.
Thank you to everyone who believed in me, to every employee who poured their heart into this, and to the fans who stood by me through every high and low.
I’m sad to move on, but excited for whatever I create next.
I love you, Blue Cat. Thank you for everything.
Since 2021, this badge has been in my dreams. And a driving motivation to chase those dreams. People tried to talk me out of it, people told me it’s not what it looks like but nothing. It’s still always at the back of my mind. As I try to stay off here and avoid a burnout, I just needed to let this out.
