On Fridays we go to the Art Museum, and students engage in activities led by the Art Museum and learn about nature in letter-themed weeks.

Geoff’s life story
Before the Ted Talk, or the NY Times story, or the 60 Minutes interview, or the Waiting For Superman documentary, or the Finding Our Roots episode or authoring two books, Geoffrey Canada was growing up in a poor NY City neighborhood, the son of a single mother
eventually at an organization called Rheedlen Centers for Children and Families. Before too long, he became dissatisfied with seeing only a few lives really changed.
So, he dove into the research and found out what works and what he was doing were not sufficiently overlapping.
Toledo, Ohio – The Mosaic Family Zone, a comprehensive collection of programs impacting the lives of families in the Old South End of Toledo, Ohio announces a formal alliance with the Harlem Children’s Zone/William Julius Wilson Institute located in New York City. The alliance
is designed to help fulfill Mosaic’s purpose of their “pregnancy to purpose” pipeline.
