You wouldn't call your vacuum cleaner "quality" if it didn't suck up dirt. So why would a stock be "quality" if it doesn't go the direction you want it to. "Quality" is a sales word (to sell something that is garbage) that means nothing to a real stock trader.

It’s not actually him, right? Comrade Kamala doesn’t sound like a nickname he’d use.

#Uranium Twitter, I’ve been away for a while. Any recent issues bringing new mines online?

1/ … when to sell physical uranium holdings: "I am going to sell when the supply and demand go one of two ways: i) the price goes up, then we will sell because I was proven right; ii) a bunch of new mines comes online, and it turns out I was wrong."

This is what's not included enough in the conversation regarding an energy transition. I don't know if its ignorance or omission.
Replying to @a_no_malie
"An energy system must produce a surplus large enough to sustain things like food production, hospitals, and universities to train the engineers to build the plant, transport, construct, and all the elements of the civilization in which it is embedded." large.stanford.edu/courses/2…

The reference to Powell hits on what I’ve been pondering through the FTX debacle. How long would this have persisted if the Fed didn’t raise rates?
Crypto increasingly looks like just a series of interconnected and cornered markets (with lots of unregulated leverage) leading to fake / vanity prices. Like Bill Hwang but on a much greater scale. If Powell holds the line, much of this should unwind.

I could talk about the FTX collapse for hours on end. But there's no time! Here's the whole awful glorious mess crammed into 99 seconds. #FTX #FTXCRASH #MelonHead

On the bright side for $META investors, it's only those who invested after 2016 who lost money... 😬

A thread worth your attention.
1) A thread of hypotheses, loosely held. This recession will be nothing like 2002, when EPS for the companies in the S&P 500 tech GIC declined 80%. Tech EPS likely even more stable this time than in 08/09 when EPS declined only -3%ish. Function of shift to recurring revs.

Another crazy idea by a shrub🌳: “Those who preach, shall be required to lead by example” Eg Davos leaders & ESG billionaires are banned from yachts & private jets & forced to eat lentils & crickets Eg Anti-fossil fuel activists are banned from using ANYTHING derived from oil
