Looking back at those times is to understand how rich they were in producing people like John Lennon who helped change the face of popular music with songs to last forever. #IMAGINE50 #TimsTwitterListeningParty
He was promoting his ‘Imagine’ album which made it even more special because the title song is one of the best he ever wrote. If I had to choose another track from the album it would be ‘Jealous Guy'. #IMAGINE50 #TimsTwitterListeningParty
The interview was remarkable in the sense that John insisted if I asked him a question about The Beatles I had to sit inside a sack which was then closed before I could speak to him. It was the most bizarre encounter of all the 800 Parkinson shows I did. #IMAGINE50
I had not met Yoko before and she gave me a silver mirrored box entitled ‘A Box Of Smile’ which remains a treasured possession. #IMAGINE50 #TimsTwitterListeningParty
When I moved to the BBC and started the Parkinson show, John and Yoko were on the first series and helped to establish the fact that this was the show the biggest stars appeared on. #IMAGINE50 #TimsTwitterListeningParty
Thanks to all those who posted such lovely comments about the documentary. It was a joy to make.

I was part of three live streams this year via @FaneProductions. They've done an amazing job, creating brilliant entertainment, linking readers with writers and yes, getting books into peoples' hands.
We're thrilled to announce that 70,000+ tickets have been sold for #FaneOnline streams since September, over half of which included a book.
Huge thanks to the incredible authors, artists, booksellers, partners and the audiences who made this possible: thebookseller.com/news/fane-…
