I would like to thank Swiss Express Transportation, which has written to me and offered to transport the donated beds if they are given to hospitals in Bulawayo. Transportation was always going to be a headache. If these beds go to hospitals in Bulawayo, I am grateful that it is no longer one of our headaches. We now just need a duty-free certificate from the government, which I believe will be issued without any problem. So thank you, Swiss Express. I really appreciate your good gesture of offering to transport these beds for free. Companies like this are the ones we should remember when we do business that requires transportation, we should support them because they support good causes.🙏🏿🙏🏿

After my post on the state of medical equipment in Zimbabwean public hospitals, I have received another response, this time from Medical Consortium of Africa, which is based at a local South African university. The company says it has a whole range of modern medical equipment, and that it is willing to sell it to Zimbabwe's public sector ONLY, at 50 percent. If you are an official at a Zimbabwean public hospital, or in the public health system, and your institution is interested, send me an email at [email protected] and I will forward you the email address of the contact person at the institution. I am only connecting the two sides. This is a commercial offer, not a donation, so please do your own checks on the equipment and the prices before committing. This 50% offer is only available to public hospitals, not private ones. Thank you.

A private South African hospital has contacted me, offering to donate these manual hospital beds to any public hospital in Zimbabwe. The beds were going to be scrapped after the hospital upgraded to new electric ones. The hospital reached out after reading a tweet I posted about the state of beds in Zimbabwean public hospitals. They can serve patients who need them. If you are an official at a Zimbabwean public hospital and you want these beds for your institution, send me an email at [email protected] and I will link you up with the hospital’s contact person. The hospital will tell you where to collect them, and you will need to arrange your own transport from Benoni to Zimbabwe. Thank you.
