I have already asked my boss if I can keep wearing tshirts, shorts, and flip flops to work in August. She wasn’t as amused as I thought she should have been 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤦♂️ #atchat
A4: I love that with digital content comes the chance to use digital tools that are already built in to some platforms and can level the playing field for our kids without extra layers #ATchat
I like this for elementary to junior high kids. npr.org/sections/goatsandsod… #atchat

Howdy and happy Passover to my Jewish AT friends. This week has been one tech challenge after another. To which I say in my best Imperson, challenge accepted! #ATchat
Can’t argue that we have some new challenges coming out way! Starting with some deep breathing. #ATchat
A4: I talk to anyone who will listen 🤣😂🤣😂. Sometimes that’s just myself though 😳🤷♂️ #ATchat
A3: I try to be vocal with stakeholders who can make change. I try to show off success stories and make sure credit is shared (the IT guy who installed opened the door, the teacher who implemented did the hard work...) #ATchat
A2: another barrier is preconceived notion that AT is cheating. I do lots of talking about equity not equality. I like to use the example that not everyone has glasses, just those that need them. those glasses allow you to see, they don’t interpret for you. #ATchat
A1: I have several students as young as fourth grade using bookshare through dolphin easy reader on iPads. And they independently email me a picture of the front and back of a book they want to read! Baby steps toward control of their destiny!#ATchat
A1: watching kids take control of their education and future by using technology makes me super proud to be a small part of their support team. When they begin advocating for themselves as they use the technology, that makes it even better! #ATchat
