Data just presented by Prashant Singh using @FoodMarble which showed that higher breath hydrogen and lower methane was predictive of response to the low FODMAP diet, with responders also showing reduced hydrogen levels

Fresh off the press #GITwitter - trial led by @JayPasrichaMD using @FoodMarble shows that non-fasting breath H2 is elevated in those with #SIBO and returns to normal following treatment with Rifaximin. First time post-prandial breath gas monitoring has been used in this way afaik
This paper in @DDS_Journal also presents validation data and I believe gestures to a future where at-home breath gas monitoring enables better management of SIBO and other digestive conditions:

Saved the best to last! In the final session at #DDW2024, @drkylestaller presented (for the first time) the interplay between breath hydrogen (H2), methane (CH4) & BMI. Neg correlation between CH4 & BMI completely unexpected, could help elucidate #microbiome influence on weight
ALT BMI positively correlated with post-prandial / non-fasting breath hydrogen and negatively correlated with methane (CH4) in study using FoodMarble at-home breath analysis device.
