What sad news. After watching Jurassic Park as an 11 year old, we’ve just finished the entire run of movies with my son, most of which starred the great Sam Neill.

I’ve just heard the sad news about James Whale. Despite his on air persona, James couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful when I produced him for a good 6 months on LBC Drive - everyday was entertaining and always surprising.

In true understated James Whale style, when I moved to a different radio station, he presented me with a signed copy of his own autobiography with an “autograph” and the message “I’d like to think I taught you everything you know.” Always makes me smile.
