Inflation is the source of most problems society faces today. Real costs decline, prices rise, but wages don't. This illusory phenomenon has disrupted all exchange, entrepreneurship, workers, savers, and borrowers; it's corrupted our lives and culture. 1/

The economy's booming but nobody's hiring.
Because AI is boosting experienced workers -- they can do more, so you don't need to hire.
While AI is replacing entry-level and new college grads.
The Boomer vs Gen Z fight is about to go nuclear.

BREAKING: The average cost of a family’s annual health insurance premium in the US is up +$1,303 YoY, or +5%, to a record $28,303.
This marks the 4th consecutive annual increase of at least +$1,300.
Over this period, the average annual premium for family coverage has surged +$5,884, or +26%.
To put this into perspective, CPI inflation has risen +13% over the same period, or half as much.
Since 1999, the average health insurance premium for a family has soared +$22,494, or +387%.
This represents an average annual growth rate of +6.1%, well above CPI inflation at +2.6% over the same period.
Health insurance has never been more expensive.

Most of our banks in America are anti-American but Bank Of America is the MOST anti-American of all of them.
They debanked me shortly after my channel started growing and they have a long history of helping the enemies of America finance their operations.
In 2018 they publicly stated they wouldn't allow anyone who makes AR15s or AR15 accessories to bank with them.
In 2010 they debanked the NRA-ILA and several of its state organizations after they (the NRA ILA) published reports of Bank Of America debanking local gun shops.
When one of their executives was asked about this behavior in 2024, he stated that Bank of America "updated our policy in 2023 to be clear that we will consider engaging with all manufacturers of firearms, with a risk-based due diligence process."
Oh, they'll consider it? 🤡
Secretary @SecScottBessent. Director @FBIDirectorKash.
@HSBC paid $1.92 billion. No one went to jail. I was the whistleblower.
14 years later, @BankofAmerica admits it willfully broke the law, pays $1.2 billion, and no one goes to jail.
3.6 million Americans read my letter. You haven’t responded.
So I’m asking on camera: who is going to be charged?
Bimetallism is fiat, explained in Harry Potter terms:
One of my favourite Harry Potter loopholes doesn't even involve magic. It involves exploiting the Muggle economy.
Hagrid tells us there are 17 Sickles to a Galleon. Sickles are silver, Galleons are gold. Simple enough.
Except gold and silver don't have a fixed exchange rate in the Muggle world. Their market value fluctuates constantly. Before 1900, the gold-to-silver ratio averaged around 16:1, which is pretty close to the wizarding world's 17:1 rate. Throughout much of the twentieth century, however, it averaged around 45:1.
See where this is going?
Wait until the market heavily favours gold. Melt your Galleons down and sell the gold in the Muggle world. Use the money to buy as much silver as possible, then take that silver to Gringotts and have it converted into Sickles.
Finally, exchange those Sickles for Galleons at the fixed 17:1 rate.
Congratulations. You've potentially turned a small pile of wizarding gold into a much larger pile of wizarding gold, simply by exploiting the difference between Muggle market prices and Gringotts' fixed exchange rate.
No Dark Arts. No Horcruxes. No elaborate schemes.
Just precious metals, a fixed exchange rate and a wizard who understands arbitrage.
The real question is why nobody in the wizarding world seems to have built an entire financial empire around this.

I feel like the whole BoA money laundering thing should be talked about, but what's left to say?
I spent a year in prison for not filling out a form around selling Bitcoin and got in trouble because someone two degrees separate from me allegedly used it to launder funds. The amount in question was around $30k.
BoA launders $5b and has to give one fifth of it back to the government. No jail for anyone.
This is America.

The IRS sent armed agents into a family bakery and drained $68,382 from its bank account.
Their “crime”? Depositing their OWN CASH in amounts under $10,000.
Then the government demanded ANOTHER $160,000 and a guilty plea to a FELONY.
The IRS called it “structuring”: deliberately keeping deposits small to dodge bank reporting rules.
DAVID VOCATURA: “I said to them, ‘Maybe I should get a lawyer.’ And they said, ‘You don’t need one, step in the back.’”
“Until the day they came in, I had no idea what structuring was.”
“I’m a law-abiding citizen. I can’t remember the last time I got a speeding ticket.”
Nearly three years after seizing the money, a prosecutor came back with a deal that carried up to FOUR YEARS IN PRISON:
DAVID VOCATURA: “They wanted us to pay another additional $160,000 in fines and plead to a felony charge of structuring.”
They refused.
You bake bread for three generations.
You pay your taxes.
You put your own money in the bank.
And the IRS treats you like a criminal, demanding nearly a quarter million dollars.
CONTEXT: Fortunately, the IRS didn’t get away with this one. Hours after the Institute for Justice sued, the IRS agreed to return all $68,382.22. Two weeks later, it withdrew a grand jury subpoena demanding eight years of the bakery’s business records. Crazy that they tried to ruin a business over depositing money into their own bank account.

The US Dollar has lost -23% of its purchasing power since 2020.
In other words, if your assets are up +30% since 2020, you have effectively just broken even in real terms.
Years ago, when we began warning to "own assets or be left behind," this is exactly what we anticipated.

I told Opus 5.5 to read my Bitcoin & monetary-history wikis & make a music video with code only.
it used ElevenLabs for the track.
Then a swarm of agents storyboarded and coded a 3:23 portrait reel. ~75 shots cut on the beats.
Had to do 2 revisions - first the people looked like poorly animated stick figures & it rewrote the rigs.
Then I said use matrix code to make it more interesting.
Impressive!

This was inevitably the outcome, and also why stronger cyber models are heavily gated.
Metered intelligence is a horrible business model. Open Weight models are a commoditizing force on the market, and why they want open weight models to be made illegal/regulated.
Why sell a utility company $1k in tokens to patch their software when you can charge a million dollars for a 5 year services agreement?
Why sell Moderna $5 million in tokens to develop a new drug when you can just make it yourself and earn billions of the next breakthrough? Especially when in a few months those same $5M in tokens could cost $500k for similar performance?
The options on the table for America are to support a free soceity with open weight models and stopping frontier labs from pulling the ladder up behind them, or a fascistic oligopoly where the winning players align with government to stifle competition to proect their margins and valuations.

I started Physical Superintelligence (PSI) with @alexwg and @aklokus on one conviction: our twenty-first-century civilization runs on twentieth-century physics, and AI can change that.
Today I'm excited to announce our $58M seed led by @Breakthrough to build the world's most advanced physics research lab, engineering physical systems beyond human design and discovering new physical laws of our universe for broad public benefit.
I'm grateful to my technical leadership (@aleMorari), our world-class team, and everyone who believed early.
Come ignite the physics takeoff with us: psi.inc
I'm delighted to share that Physical Superintelligence PBC (PSI), which I co-founded with @matthew_pines and @AKlokus, has raised a $58M seed round to build the world's most advanced research lab for discovering and commercializing transformative physics breakthroughs at scale with AI, safely, verifiably, and for broad public benefit.

I've had lots of DMs lately from those who are intrigued by the idea of Bitcoin Core Multisig on generic hardware, but worried about trusting a lightweight app like yeticold.com to set it up for them (easily audited if you can read python), they would prefer to do it manually and take their time...
So, I created this guide as an educational tool & tutorial for setting up secure, offline Bitcoin Core multisig.
This is a great way to learn and get more comfortable with doing it the right way, all with very simple bash scripts that can easily be audited by feeding them into grok.
The best way to get started is just to set it up and use it for $5 of Bitcoin, you will quickly learn that it's not nearly as scary as people make it sound.
Feedback on the guide is welcome, especially if anything is unclear or needs more explanation.
