They already have enough members to register as a political party with Elections Canada, but they would like to have more. The goal is 500 by November 11.
Once the paperwork is submitted, it will take Elections Canada 4-6 weeks to verify signatures and grant party status.
The plan is to hold the party's first AGM in February or March 2027.
People have already volunteered to coordinate setting up the 37 riding associations. Things are really moving along.
Alberta Now is pleased to have surpassed the 500+ follower mark with over 300+ founding member signatures so far.
