Water testing with @WPSEisenhower @mrsdflorio's Human Impact exploratory class in preparation for our rainbow trout eggs as part of the Trout in the Classroom program. Don't worry, my Human Impact class will do this tomorrow.
Enjoying day 2 with @WPSEisenhower @EmsTeam3 @frostvalley. Lots of pond ecology plus the climbing wall and orienteering. Headed to see the snakeman followed by a night hike.
Having a great time with @WPSEisenhower Grade 6 Team 3 Frost Valley. Waterfall hike, team building & pond ecology. Dinner, campfire & birdman next.
We continued our work on the @WPSEisenhower garden pollinator beds during TIEE. Thanks to a generous donation of soil and native plants from the EMS PTO, we were able to get started several weeks ago. This week we are planting pollinators we grew from seeds this spring.
During TIEE, students tested our water quality for our @WPSEisenhower 2022-2023 Trout in the Classroom program application which will be part of a new grade 6 science exploratory course - Human Impact. We will raise and release rainbow trout to learn about coldwater conservation.
Happy Earth Day! We started pollinator seeds and continued preparing the pollinator garden beds during grade 6 TIEE. @WPSEisenhower @wyckoffschools
Dichotomous keys, pond ecology and bird adaptations at Frost Valley YMCA. It's as if they know exactly what we teach in grade 6 science at EMS. @WPSEisenhower @wyckoffschools
A great extension during TIEE time to continue our study of symbiotic relationships with grade 6 students. We cleaned out the three pollinator beds in the EMS garden and made plans for spring planting. The bees and butterflies will be happy. @WPSEisenhower @wyckoffschools
