Jesus' tomb is empty, THE throne is occupied, and the earth will be filled with God's glory. Three sufficient reasons for our fears to shrink, our peace to increase, and our "to do list" to become a "to love list."

We will never regret seeking to remember what Jesus has done for us 100 times better than what people have done against us.

The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever… The LORD blesses his people with peace. Ps.29:10-11. Better to have Jesus in the “floods” of life than no floods & no Jesus. But I crave the Day of all Jesus and no floods. Grateful 4 his peace.

Jesus, for this one day in September, grant us grace to be less self-referential, less easy-to-offend, less likely to assume the worst. Increase our amazement, joy, and peace from being completely known and extravagantly loved by you.

5 glorious words by which to live—saw, compassion, ran, embraced, kissed. “His father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.” (Luke 15:20). Because of Jesus, this is how our Father relates to each of us, all the time. Hallelujah!

“I pray enlightenment for your heart-eyes...” Eph. 1:18. Yes, Jesus, heal our seeing. Flood our hearts with the light of the Gospel. Let us see you as you truly are. Dazzle us with your beauty. Remove our cataracts, astigmatism, myopia. Seeing you will free us 2 see all else well

Jesus, “my soul thirsts for you; my whole-body longs for you” (Ps.63:1). Friends, below the surface of our anguish and anger, our disappointment with people and disillusionment with life, is an unrelenting thirst 4 Jesus. He loudly calls us to come to him right now. John 7:37-39

"Our worse days aren't beyond the reach of God's grace. Our best days aren't beyond the need of God's grace." (Jerry Bridges). Likewise, God gives grace for our most challenging/vexing relationships, and our most "easy-breezy"/"piece-o-cake" ones.

Jesus, gentle the jaded edges in our souls. Untie our heart-knots with your hands of grace. Settle and center us by the hope of the Gospel. Fill us with all the grace and kindness we'll need for the day in front of us.

Jesus, free us from under-believing the Gospel, and over-believing our fears. Free us to trust your heart when we don’t like your timing. We know you’re working in all things for our good. Grant us grace to prefer your definition of “good” over ours.
