I really love dropping random yet appropriate hip hop lyrics on my kids like “What in the world is in that bag? What you got in that bag?” when I actually wanna know what they have in a bag

One of the greatest hacks in adult life is renting a home in an HOA with killer amenities. For a weekend, month, even year, you can benefit from awesome, private facilities while basically never concerning yourself with HOA politics.

Ironically, levying massive tariffs and telling American corporations to 'eat them' is the kind of corporate taxation socialist progressives only dream about.

Playing with generatedassets (the new @public feature), it's evident ai will bolster retail investing in profound ways. Just a perfectly simple application of llms that puts enormous leverage into the hands of any consumer for basically free.

I could not make heads or tails of the agenda on Figma's Config website so I asked Claude to make an .ics file of all the events to import to my calendar. If you want it, here is every event name and speaker at #Config2025 drive.google.com/file/d/1J6w…

If you build online (or want to) I highly recommend the last two episodes of @lennysan’s podcast with @boltdotnew and @lovable These companies' stories are so unprecedented that it will change the way you think about building software

I think the best consumer ai agents (vs enterprise) will simply know which tools to use, how to use them, and how to pay for them on your behalf or ping you for inputs as they go about completing a multi-step task Most of the personal things I want to do with ai involve multiple steps and require multiple services. A random example might be “take this video, find or create a transcript and synthesize any visual information presented, compress the knowledge into custom instructions and fine tune an llm session with that information so that I can ask it questions” There’s tons of tools that can do each step of this process which is amazing but rather than search and trial my way through dozens of services I’d be happy to fund my agent’s wallet and have them go figure it out for me We’ve already built a universal api for the internet called the user interface so highly capable agents should feel like unlocking automation across the whole web

What's notable about DeepSeek (aside from re-underwriting cap ex for the entire AI market) is the "glass box" interaction pattern Allowing the user to observe how well the AI understood your prompt is clearly better for results and trust And yet this design pattern has just been sitting there un-implemented until now Expect to see most of the top AI models adopt and improve upon this pattern

meanwhile, another 10-100x improvement was just added to humanity's base layer toolkit for basically free weather modeling is now 10x smaller, 10x faster, 10x cheaper, and 10x better. i'm no Milton Smith but that's like, 100x boost cumulatively? knowing our environment is more than a forecast widget, it's our means of maneuvering the physical world across every industry. it may even create new ones
Today in @Nature, we’re presenting GenCast: our new AI weather model which gives us the probabilities of different weather conditions up to 15 days ahead with state-of-the-art accuracy. ☁️⚡ Here’s how the technology works. 🧵goo.gle/49trAOv
