I limit my time on here as it can feel like the world is full of hate. Thanks to spending all of last night in A&E (for OH not me) I'm feeling more +ve. Over 95% of people sat through an 8 hr wait calmly and respectfully despite being in pain, feeling sick, bleeding etc ...

Ofsted can slow down and damage an already improving school. It is not a force for good for the children and families in the school. It is not about a framework or the HMCI. It is a fundamentally flawed approach to school accountability that does long term damage in numerous ways
Have told staff, children & families that I am retiring from headship at Xmas. Celebrated last night with dinner, champagne & opera. This morning back to usual routine of parkrun(walk!) and a fry up! Very excited to see where life takes me next! 🤩😍

Very sad to hear about the arrest of Andrew Tate. He has been charged with rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution and actual bodily harm. I once described him as "an important voice for young men", which tells you all you need to know about my moral compass.
