I’ve spent the past year visiting memorials, monuments, museums, and concentration camps in Germany, exploring how that country remembers the Holocaust. I wanted to understand if there was anything the U.S. could learn. Here’s the story of what I found: theatlantic.com/magazine/arc…

This thread will be dedicated to the victims of the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. As a parent, my heart is broken seeing these faces and their ages. My condolences to their families during this difficult time 🙏🏻 Xavier Lopez, 10. He was a 4th grader at Robb Elementary.

BLM RI PAC will continue to stand in solidarity with organizations such as @pvdstudentunion , @Ariseducation , @PrYSMFam , and the Counselors not Cops campaign to make schools safer and advocate for the removal of Student Resource Officers!
A student in Providence was thrown to the ground by an in-school police officer while classmates begged someone to stop the arrest. His mother said he was throwing up blood, and was told that he was arrested for fighting, or "illegal activity". Another student was also arrested.

Your annual reminder: posting quotes from Dr. King one day out of the year but living a life that runs counter to his teachings the other 364 does not make you an ally in the fight for justice and equality.
