Metro IAF is—and has been—on the front lines of getting repairs in public housing. This is good work to be a part of.
The attendees were there to press Mamdani on four community priorities. Jessenia Casiano, a resident of NYCHA’s Penn-Wortman Houses, said she arrived with a clear message for the mayor: “Don’t forget Penn-Wortman, Boulevard or Linden Houses,” she said. citylimits.org/come-back-to-…

One of my parishioners gave a brave testimony prior to the mayor committing to 10 crisis stabilization centers beginning next fiscal year. Very proud.

@MetroIAF is the best
Yesterday I joined faith leaders, congregants, and community organizers from @MetroIAF, whose decades of grassroots organizing have helped make the priorities of working New Yorkers a political reality.
We discussed the progress our administration has made on issues like public safety and homelessness — and how we can deepen our partnership to create lasting change.
Thank you to the 2,169 @MetroIAF NY leaders who braved the rain Oct. 11! The Mayor committed to more action on Fixing NYCHA, PACT accountability, more affordable housing at city sites & Aqueduct, public safety & launching crisis centers starting July 2027.
Please see the live stream of the 10/11/26 @MetroIAF NY Mayoral Accountability Assembly here

Over two days, Metro IAF leaders from @metroiafny & @BUILDBaltimore brought together more than 4,000 people for nonpartisan actions to celebrate results & press public officials for concrete commitments. This is democracy in action.
