Amazing how one day @MTGSecretLair posts an article about how great of a job they are doing and then the next day shits the bed. Whoever is running their forecasting has no idea what demand is. Love the 2 hour delay to then immediately be sold out upon “fixing it”.

So assuming the card names are below the pictures in this ad, I guess this means we technically have our first card spoiled? #FinalFantasy #mtg

So Mystery Booster 2 is just Mystery Booster 1 with some white border, Future Sight style cards? BIG yawn. Unless this is going to be widely available, don’t see the appeal at all.

Bar-B-Cube was an amazing event. Thank you @TheManaVaultMKE for a top class event! Can’t say enough about how awesome every single person was I interacted with today. What a community and I’m jealous Milwaukee gets such a great LGS.

Overall, such a great first Cube event for me and I cannot recommend it enough. I am stoked to attend @CubeConOfficial in October. Was able to talk to a bunch of Cube Designers today and was great to see the passion they have for curating their lists.

Last thing, the prizes for the Top 8 and winner were 🔥, so creative!

This reminds me how rampant asking for concessions was from Pros trying to get back on the train. “You’re not playing for anything, I only need X more points to hit Bronze” sob stories effectively give 1-2 match byes which certainly makes re-qualifying that much easier!
Hypothetical Win and in for top 8 of RC You and your opp make an agreement that if you go to time whoever is behind will concede so someone makes top 8. Turns are over, you’re very far behind and instead of conceding you take the draw. Do you think you’re a scumbag?

Had a much beloved MtG Pro ask me to concede in a PTQ when we went to time to which I declined and I received a “thanks for knocking us both out”. I was playing Dredge while they were playing CounterTop. I wonder why we went to time….

Think #MCChicago #MagicConChicago will be my last major event in person. It’s just simply not worth it from a $ perspective. I played in 6 different events throughout the weekend (on top of jamming some EDH) and every single one had some sort of issue. 1/

While I am harping on the logistics a lot, MTG is still undefeated when it comes to hanging with friends and making new ones. All of my opponents were friendly and I had a lot of great interactions. I’m super glad they had the location at McCormick as opposed to Rosemont. 12/

Overall, if I could redo the weekend, I’d do maybe one event a day and try to do more chill things like panels and such. Definitely a victim of trying to over optimize when many things were outside my control. Thanks for reading! END
