I would have preferred to see literally any nerf to Handler besides losing the +0/+1. Nerf his cost, gut his stats. I hate the philosophy of nerfing decks “because they’ve been good for too long”. Heimer Jayce was a good baseline for power. If Scrap was the problem, hit that.

Possibly true, but it's also generally a 51% WR deck on ladder - most meta things have game into it. When Ionia decks are oppressive from a power level perspective I will mald, but this feels more like "I hate playing against Ionia control" than a "this deck is too strong."

The decks are good, so they of course beat interaction at lease somewhat reliably, but if people hate IO decks that check all the boxes they ask for, what IO deck do people even want?

You do not - the goal is a fair tournament experience without smurfing, and we will make changes until we get that. (I'm not going to say I'm 100% confident we have it even with the planned 4.4 matchmaking changes, but I'm *pretty* confident)

This happens all the time in big LoR tourneys. There’s often a particular build/archetype that way overperforms because someone figured it out. Open decklists don’t stop creativity, you just build bad decks

Finally, the one time Magic Twitter is behind the ball relative to LOR Twitter. If you aren't registering a specific card or deck because of open decklists, it means the card or deck is shitty because it's only good if your opponent doesn't play around it. Open decklists are good

How big of an impact do you think it has on deck choice? I've seen a few people say they don't bring sweet brews and tech to tournament anymore because of open lists. To me that seems like a real issue if it does happen regularly.
