Check the records. The average first-innings score at Newlands never exceeds 350. 500 is a stretch 😂😂😂 Newlands is nowhere near those roads in Australia and India where flat-track bullies dominate.
329 is basically 180 all out. Hard to see the Proteas winning from here. This was a 500 batting surface. Conditions will be good for batting tomorrow.

The driver who picked me up at George Airport was a middle-aged, divorced Afrikaner from Gauteng struggling to make ends meet. Our two-hour journey offered me an opportunity to explore his worldview. Without missing a beat, he launched into a diatribe against NATO and Ukraine’s Zelensky. Where the fuck, I wondered, does this come from? I only began to understand after reading about Russia’s social influence campaign in South Africa.

Sazi Sandi is just one of those players who flies under the radar, the Stormers’ fourth choice tighthead. But jirre, this guy is something else when he gets his chance. Leads the song in the dressing room as well. What a guy.

It's irresponsible using AI to refine an image because the final product doesn't align with the actual person in question's likeness.

Unfortunately, journalists get played, sister. It is almost close to impossible to decipher a source's intentions. Often, very aggrieved sources with a serious axe to grind leak information that is of huge public interest - we have to report it. In most case sources dont even disclose their interests/agenda, and believe me, we do ask what their intentions are. In rare cases, they do disclose. In this case, my colleagues were played, not even by Andrea Johnson, but by sources at Crime Intelligence. I was at News24 when the publication ran the stories in question - my colleagues were not part of Andrea Johnson and her handlers' deceitful scheme in their SAPS' factional battles. We were used, plain and simple. And these things happen more than journalists care to admit. Remember how the Sunday Times was played during the Rogue Unit saga. What I really dont understand is why in the last few weeks my colleagues at News24 continued to defend Andrea Johnson when the public watched in real time on TV while she was being exposed for the charlatan that she is. That was a terrible, if inexplicable, misstep.
Yoh. I’m not sure everyone appreciates just how diabolical Andrea Johnson appears to be. If the evidence is accurate, she successfully manipulated the NDPP, a political party, two top investigative journalists, and lied to an Ad Hoc Committee in Parliament - all highly experienced, consummate BS detectors. She bypassed their psychological security against manipulation. That is an extraordinary feat. I mean, reputations were put on the line to defend her. She was even hailed as a modern-day Winnie Mandela, all while concealing dastardly and devious deeds. As an avid watcher of true crime documentaries… 🙂‍↔️ Dearly beloved, if the allegations are true, that is one highly dangerous woman. 🤞🏾

The biggest export South Africa never authorised may be its culture. Our audit of major AI training datasets identified dozens of South African artists appearing across publicly documented training corpora used to develop the next generation of AI music systems. As artists, rights holders, and policymakers begin to examine the scale of this practice, it may prove to be one of the most significant data laundering controversies the global music industry has ever faced.
The Atlantic has published a searchable database of music used by tech companies to train generative AI models. Out of curiosity, I went on the platform and searched for a couple of South African artists and wow, this is a much bigger issue than many people realise.

Without a doubt, @MWEBTweets has to be one of the worst companies in South Africa. They're happy to take your money but today I spent almost four hours on the phone trying to get hold of their call centre(my internet has been off since last night).

This story and headline is a perfect example of how racist politics and narratives are subtly deployed in media. Blink and you miss it. On Thursday, a man killed four children in an attack inside a nursery school in the Ugandan capital of Kampala on Thursday. It was the most horrific attack on a kindergarten school in Uganda in recent memory. The attacker “brutally stabbed and killed four juveniles,” with a knife police said. Nearly all Uganda media reports said the murderer used a knife. However, in AP’s telling, he became a “machete wielding” attacker. It doesn’t make the tragedy any less, but the the word "machete" often carries cultural baggage in Western (and sometimes global) media framing. It often evokes images of chaotic violence in tropical or African settings –think the "wild savage" trope from colonial-era storytelling –more readily than a "knife" does for similar attacks elsewhere. And thus it conjures up an image of Kampala, or Uganda for that matter, as a place with menacing “natives” walking around with deadly machetes, rather than an individual who might be been mentally ill. Surprising how strong the instinct to fall back on these tropes remains.

Hi @DailyMail your “journalist” Perkin Amalaraj has taken this story from a report in the Kathmandu Post. The language is slightly different as it’s been re-written as a summary, but the details aren’t. You’ve ripped off the investigative work of a modest newspaper in Nepal and turned it into a real eye-grabbing story for you. You have mentioned the original story in one line and not even linked to the original report. How do you want to fix this?

They tried again and they failed again. No, I’m not talking about the decades of repeatedly failed genocidal attempts to wipe out the Palestinians, but rather the ludicrous and pathetic attempts by FSV Mainz 05 to yet again appeal against their loss of my case in the German courts only to lose again. Today, the German courts dismissed the latest appeal from FSV Mainz 05 which affirms the earlier judgment ensuring justice was served with my resounding victory. Time for the deluded decision makers at FSV Mainz 05 to give it a rest and pay up the remainder of my contract. Worthy causes supporting the children of Gaza await. That should give some solace to the executive team at FSV Mainz 05. Free Palestine

I think #they are just upset that Rassie has bowed out with so much grace and gratitude towards CSA and everything to do with South African cricket. They also thrive on the negative side of South African cricket and today they have not been afforded that opportunity 🙏🏽

Here’s a court judgment on those who make defamatory remarks with ‘allegedly’ as if it’s a defence! Take note!
"ALLEGEDLY" DOES NOT SHIELD THE MEDIA Akani Retirement Fund Administrators has won a Johannesburg High Court ruling against Independent Media for publishing defamatory articles. Judge Shanaaz Mia ordered the media group to remove the articles and social media posts, issue an apology within two days, and pay Akani's legal costs for two counsels. Damages will be assessed later. The court found the reports unfounded, malicious, and in breach of journalistic ethics, as Independent Media failed to verify claims or give Akani a proper chance to respond. Akani chairman Zamani Letjane (pictured) hailed the verdict as a lesson for South African media on fair reporting. The case sets a precedent that using "alleged" does not shield publishers from liability for harmful, unverified stories. Full judgement - ln.run/zf1j2
