Addressing this:
As you will know I have not made it a habit to speak to the past when dealing with the economic issues at hand.
We’ve put in a lot of work to remedy the problems, and progress has been made in this regard. Especially regarding debt restructuring and reform.

Zambians don't have to thank me for the job I'm doing. It’s what they voted for me to do. They must not agree when I do wrong things like acquiring excessive debt.

On 24 of August, citizens must give an honest review of Pres Hichilema's & the UPND's 1st year in office. Today, I can only celebrate the greatness of Zambian citizens. Their defeat of an oppressive regime that looked unmovable - this done peacefully, but stunningly convincingly!

I hope the HH administration realises that the next FIC/AG reports are full UPND babies. So, as retrospective corruption is punished, serious effort better be going towards preventing ongoing abuse of public resources. We don't want to be mopping a floor with the tap open.
