1/2 You may have seen the Government’s plans to ban mobile phones from classrooms. If you have a child with diabetes, we understand this might be concerning, but there will be exemptions to the guidelines - including for children who need to use a phone to manage their diabetes.

I was gutted to hear rates of emergency diagnosis (DKA) of Type 1 Diabetes in children is rising. We have to do more, all too often these children have seen thier GP in the 7days prior to diagnosis. Please help me #RewritePetersStory #KnowType1 💙

One in six people in hospital have diabetes, not getting insulin when you need it is potentially a life-threatening emergency.
