I'm so stoked for what @maxyinger is cooking for Clerk Protect 🧑‍🍳

It's wild how much better Codex's computer use is than Claude. 🚤

My Dot just told me it couldn't check my email because it was being rate limited. How long until there's a gmail outage caused by personal agents?

The level of thread coordination that Claude is doing now is pretty cool.

I think I have a good analogy for what's about to happen in cyber. It's pitch dark. Always has been. And the world is dilapidated buildings and rats and maggots and other creepy-crawlies. The whole world. And we just invented flashlights.

I'm finding @tuple's Capture + the CLI so useful these days.

The anti-abuse side of Clerk has a name (and docs) now: Clerk Protect. It's been incredible working on this over the last couple months, and I'm stoked for what's to come. Hit me up with your fraud problems, would love to chat.
We've seen a massive increase in both the number and sophistication of fraud attacks. CAPTCHAs and WAFs are not nearly enough. Clerk Protect (a @clerk product) is starting to roll out generally.. This is just the first release of many. If your application is under attack, DM me. We can most likely help. Clerk Protect will work with any auth provider, but it will be at toggle away for existing clerk customers. Super excited to make bad actors, sad actors. clerk.com/docs/guides/protec…

I'm liking this new (to me?) "sub-threads" thing in Claude Code Desktop. Where threads kicked off from within other threads show nested in the sidebar.

If you run an AI app that gives new accounts free credits, you're basically posting a bounty. If you're running one of these apps, I'd love to know what your first farming attack looked like, how you discovered it and what you did to try and stop it.

Breaking my X hiatus because this is fascinating. I ran threat disruption at Meta for 8 years, where we routinely released reports like the Anthropic report out today. It’s noteworthy that Anthropic is being this transparent, and they deserve credit if we want this level of visibility into AI companies going forward. Here's what stood out to me, and where I'd push back. 🧵
We're publishing our most detailed threat intelligence report to date. It covers how people tried to misuse Claude—for cyberattacks, influence operations, surveillance, biology, and building weapons—and how we found and stopped them. We disrupted every operation in the report, and used the lessons from them to strengthen our safeguards. Where appropriate, we also shared what we found with authorities and other AI companies. These cases are not typical: we’re highlighting some of the most sophisticated misuse we’ve seen. But they’re especially important to discuss, because they show us where AI misuse is headed, where our safeguards work, and where they need to improve. We’re publishing this report so others can spot the same activity on their own platforms, and so we can give the public a clearer view of how emerging threats develop. Feels like every engineer is just trying to figure out how far you can let the leash out with LLMs. You kinda have to be right at the edge of it - if you're playing it too safe, you're missing out on a lot of value. If you took it too far, you're delivering slop. It's such a careful balance 😰
