Anyone else have a spouse who watched too much Rescue 911 as a kid? Every other month some new fireproof bag, blanket, or device will show up in my house.
The older I get the more I understand why Jesus was called a Man of Sorrows. And why Peter says we are sojourners and exiles.
I long for Jesus to make everything right again.

The conservatives on here denying the affordability crisis are engaged in what I can only describe as an act of political suicide. They're also lying, which is the worst part. Grocery prices are up. Housing. Energy. Insurance. Health care. Basic living expenses. It's real. It's happening. Denying it just makes you look out of touch, deceitful, and untrustworthy. It's also a completely unnecessary and unforced error. No credible person is claiming that Trump caused these price surges. You don't have to disgrace yourself by denying the reality in front of your face just to prove your loyalty to Trump. The causes for the most part are multi faceted, complicated, and longstanding. That's true. So let's discuss them. Debating whether the problem exists at all -- or, if it does exist, whether it counts as a problem -- is a total waste of time, and makes you look like a shill and a fraud.
There's something about being married for 20 years and having kids for 16. You miss a lot of the stuff you'd normally have done. Worth it without question. But now on the first night alone in recent memory I am finally watching John Wick. I hope it lives up to the hype!
I would be happy if everyone paid the exact same tax rate. Greater progressive taxation moves us in the wrong direction.
The thing I don't see anyone asking - what happens if the person says YES that they are a citizen when in fact they are not? Does the site automatically register them to vote without proof? Seems like it would if a NO answer does the same thing.

I know some of you want to do the kumbaya thing. You want to say that the celebration of Charlie’s death is only happening on the fringes. I’m sorry but that’s just not true. They jeered and heckled him in CONGRESS yesterday. The left wants us dead. That is the mainstream view. It just is. It’s the truth. They couldn’t be any clearer about it. Stop lying to yourself. Face the facts, and act accordingly.
