I often find myself explaining core Jewish practices and Mitzvot.
For that, I'm thankful for @myJLI 's "The Book of Jewish Knowledge" with it's clear diagrams and thoughtfully organized descriptions and explanations.
Today is Pesach Sheni â the Second Passover. Instituted in biblical times as an opportunity for those who were unable to take part in the original Passover, yet longed to be included in the celebration of our people's freedom. G-d gave them a second chance.
One month ago, Edan Alexander couldnât celebrate the first Passover â he was in captivity.
Today, he can. Today, he is freed. And today, he celebrates.

So, what do Elie Wiesel, Albert Einstein, and South Koreans have in common?
They were all deeply intrigued by the Talmud.
Elie Wiesel drew wisdom and inspiration from its timeless teachings.
Einstein promoted the study of Talmud after consulting the best minds on the topic.
And South Korea, astonishingly, includes Talmud study in its school curriculum, seeing it as a source of profound intellectual development.
Whatâs the secret behind this ancient textâs universal appeal?

Today, the President of Argentina @JMilei swore in the new Foreign Minister, Gerardo Werthein.
Werthein, who is Jewish, took the oath on a Chumash the five books of Moses, the written Torah.
President Milei then congratulated him and addressed the lesson we learn from this weeks Torah Portion of Lech Lecha.
âI find it pertinent and appropriate to speak about the Torah Portion of this week. The Parsha of Lech Lecha. Itâs interesting what this weeks Parsha / Portion teaches us, âGerardo, you are now being sent with the strength of heavenâ, because this weeks portion tells us of the travels of Abraham around the world in spreading the message of the creator.
God tells us that Abraham will have much influence on the nations of the world and gave him the responsibility of carrying the message of the Torah to bring life and freedom to the whole world.
Milei concludes by wishing Foreign Minster Werthein âAs the Rebbe would oft say, we wish you Blessings and Success.â

This month of Elulâ×××× is the month of love and relationships.
âAni l'dodi v'dodi liâI am to my beloved and my beloved is to meââteaches us something both vital and remarkable:
A relationship is a reflection! You and your beloved mirror each other.
Like the face reflected in water, one heart [is reflected] in another (Proverbs 27:19). Love elicited is in direct proportion to love given. The same way that "I am to my beloved," so too will "my beloved" be "to me."
Thinking of love as your reflection is quite extraordinary: Look into the eyes of your beloved and you will see yourself.
Light Shabbat candles 18 minutes before sundown in your city.
Look into the flames you kindled with love and you will see G-d's love reflected back to you.
Shabbat Shalom!
Light. Love. Live. For Am Yisrael.
And for Yochevedâan everlasting, brilliant spark of Am Yisraelâin whose loving memory we bring you these weekly messages.
