In the last installment of a series based on our visit to @nScryptInc & conversations with CEO Ken Church, we talk about the firm's challenges of not being able to talk publicly about work that happens behind NDAs. Why, if #AM is moving forward so fast, does so much feel hidden?

🚀 A huge scientific milestone! Special thanks to our partners at @NASA and @ISS_CASIS and the incredible @NASA_Astronauts.👏 This is just the beginning of what bioprinting can achieve!
Human cardiac tissue was successfully 3D printed in space using the BioFabrication Facility aboard the @Space_Station. 💗🥳
Bioprinting tissues could lead to novel medical treatments like producing organs for patients awaiting transplants.

ALT Live human heart tissue bioprinted with Redwire's BioFabrication Facility aboard the International Space Station. The tissue was successfully returned to Earth in April 2024. Results of the BFF-Cardiac investigation could advance technologies for producing organs and tissues in lieu of donated organs for transplant. The experiment also improves 3D printing so that crews on future long-duration space missions could print foods and medicines on demand. Image courtesy of Redwire.
