As for 'seeking happiness', I'd say: do what makes you happy. But do not 'seek happiness' as a 'goal', or 'end', or 'destination', or 'purpose' or 'final cause'. Do not 'seek happiness' as the 'end' or 'goal' or 'destination' of a 'journey', or 'voyage', or 'trip', or 'quest'. Rather, 'seek happiness' in the journey itself, in the voyage itself, in the trip itself, in the quest itself. (And 'seek happiness' in everything else as well).
