The Nativewind v5 Release Candidate is here!
Try it in your app and let us know if you run into any issues.
See 👇 for whether you're coming from v4 or v5 preview.
Assuming no major issues, this will become the latest version in 2 weeks.
Thanks to all the early adopters ❤️

"Less, but better" is at the root of Nativewind v6.
As v5.0 moves to latest, v6 turns to performance. We're working on pushing our core upstream into Yoga and React Native so Nativewind gets thinner and faster.
The goal: flip the switch and go faster.

Some @NativewindCSS Updates
🎉We hit 600k downloads per week! 🎉
The v4 test suite is now passing, Mark gave me npm access so I can publish new versions, and I went through every docs page to make sure they actually match what v4 does.
Here's a thread of the changes 👇

@mark__lawlor has been seriously ill since the holidays. Full recovery may take months.
I’m stepping back in after the holidays + a move.
My focus areas:
1️⃣ Stabilize v5
2️⃣ Grow community contributions
3️⃣ Improve LLM friendliness
I don’t have npm publishing access yet so only nightly releases for now. I’ll keep posting weekly updates here and on GitHub.
Keep the feedback coming and thanks for 520k downloads per week!

Flight delayed. In the meantime, I'm working on a way to let you:
1⃣ Open a @nativewindcss v4 project in @cursor_ai
2⃣ Copy/paste the migration guide in markdown
3⃣ Have Cursor migrate your project to Nativewind v5
Might need some kind of fallback, will share here as I figure it out.

I've updated the manual installation instructions for @NativewindUI and provided an LLM-friendly version to make configuring existing projects even easier.
