Been playing with code sandboxes at the @createosai × @stripe projects hackathon. Built RepoQuest: gamified, AI-generated debugging quests that help new devs learn a codebase. Every quest is generated, run and verified in a sandbox. Learn by fixing bugs. Fun!
As someone building in the space, even with enterprises, it's the same. Customers have basically stopped asking "Does the platform use XYZ model" since last 3-4 months (peak was when Deepseek launched) and moved back to "What can this platform do for me", which is welcome 😃
I have to admit, I have zero excitement about this latest flurry of new model releases
I am sure they are all better, but the existing ones were more than good enough, and I'm learning how much to trust those existing ones... and already they do more than I can utilize them (for writing code)
So no, I'm not particularly excited about Fable 5.1 or Astra or anything else - what would I use it for??
Khadim was an fellow alumni of @IIITB_official & I'd heard multiple stories about his entrepreneurial drive.
Was fortunate to meet & learn from him over the years. What always struck me was his humility & ability to always downplay his and @whatfix accomplishments
RIP 🙏
I’m deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of Khadim Batti, Co-founder of Whatfix, earlier today.
I'm truly struggling to find the right words while processing this news.
Khadim has been such an important part of our AIBoomi community and of the larger SaaS and AI ecosystem in India. Someone many of us have known over the years, shared rooms and conversations with, learnt from, and deeply respected.
His journey with Whatfix inspired so many founders in this community. But beyond everything he built, I will remember Khadim for the person he was.
A wonderful friend. A generous mentor. Someone who always made time for the ecosystem and showed up for founders with warmth and sincerity.
We have lost someone very special today.
My heart goes out to his family, the entire Whatfix team, and everyone who was close to him.
Rest in peace, Khadim. You will be deeply missed.

P.S. People who respond to you with the LLM output are just the worst... It's so disrespectful and wastes so much of my time/mental energy.

This is becoming a huge problem at my job.
Previously you could find the author of the code (by "git blame") and ask them to explain how this thing worked, why some approach was chosen etc.
Now, people who over-rely on AI have NO idea about the code they commit...

It amuses me how many orgs think this AI slop is a proxy for engineering output. As a community, we've gone back to days of measuring LoC, from architectures that were comparable to art to some weird "banana-duct-taped-repeatedly-to-a-wall" modern art interpretation of Comp Sci
We're entering a very interesting age of LLM reasoning capabilities. This, from a task I had running on Fable
The "I disregarded it" reminded me a lot of the scene from Rise of the Planet of the Apes where Cesar speaks for the first time, to say "No"

That awkward moment when a random pirated stream on some weird, shady .rodeo domain has better streaming quality, better commentary, and a better community (in the chat) than the official @ZEE5India stream in India #FIFAWorldCup 🤦♂️🥹
The name of this cafe reminded me of a fun story from a trek at Ramnagara that only me and @FlamesAlchemist know about that never fails to make me chuckle 😃

Bhajji got pretty upset with Dhoni for this ad though. Ads used to be pretty wild back then🤣
Sreesanth blocks Harbhajan Singh on Instagram after he did this flipkart ad 😯
He claims that Harbhajan Singh made around 1 CRORE for doing this ad which is based on "Slapgate Controversy" and he also asked to share the ad in Sreesanth's social media accounts.
"He was a brother to me but now I have put an end to that relationship. I will forgive but never forget" says Sreesanth in a recent interview!
. @YCstartups took the edict of "Do things that do not scale" a bit too seriously 😅😂
12 years since @babarecursive's glorious review of the HIMYM finale 😂😄

With agentic slop, we are trading software reliability for shipping velocity and calling it progress. It isn't. Systems are more fragile than ever, and engineers building them no longer trust their code to hold up in real-world edge cases.
I am pro-AI, but this will backfire - big time.
