A heartbreaking investigation revealed that Trump's Bureau of Land Management is systematically rounding up thousands of America's wild horses, then quietly selling them off to buyers who are shipping them to slaughterhouses abroad.
Before, the U.S. government rarely sold wild horses. But since Trump took office, government sales have more than doubled.
Slaughterhouses pay up to $750 a wild horse, the investigation found.
The Bureau of Land Management is nominally in charge of protecting the 73,000 or so wild horses who roam America's public lands in the West. Under Trump, the Bureau is sending our wild horses to the slaughterhouse.

At Fayetteville Regional Airport, a military casket arrived carrying 30-year-old Staff Sgt. Michael Swinton, killed in the Iran war, as his wife clung to it in tears.
Unfortunately, the 2nd autopsy report remains inconclusive bc parts of his body weren’t received/withheld. The examiner noted that foul play cannot be ruled out. Very similar to my cousin's case. Far too often, Black youth & adults are harmed in this country & it's overlooked!
#BREAKING: In a crucial moment for transparency and accountability, the NAACP and renowned civil rights attorney @AttorneyCrump will hold a press conference tomorrow to announce the findings of an independent autopsy connected to the death of Nolan Wells.
Family members, legal representatives, and NAACP leadership are expected to attend.

Whenever I catch myself not reading things completely, I remember anti-intellectualism is on the rise, literacy is in decline, and I don’t want to be a VICTIM!

Idk but Michelle Obama telling Barack “You told me all those years ago that you couldn't promise me the world, but you could promise me an interesting life. And, of course you outdid yourself and managed to give me both." is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard someone say to another 🥹

On June 19, 1865, African American communities in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom from slavery — two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation took effect.
For 161 years, Juneteenth has been a day of remembrance for the freedom that was delayed. It is also a celebration of the joy and resilience that flourished despite that delay.
The contributions of African Americans, whose struggle for freedom shaped our nation, are immeasurable. Yet too many Black families continue to bear the brunt of an affordability crisis that has pushed them out of the neighborhoods and communities they've built.
True freedom has a tangible impact on daily life: the ability to afford housing, earn a living wage, put food on the table, support a family, and create a future for generations to come.
As we celebrate today, we must recommit ourselves to ensuring this freedom is fully realized.
Happy Juneteenth, New York City.
Umm we typically don’t get called or end up getting dismissed from duty. After I was dismissed a few years ago, I did research on the racial disparities at all stages of the jury selection process.

This is why I hate when people say “why are you making it about race?” Because it almost always is about race

Karmelo Anthony guilty of murder.
Rick Chow not guilty of murder.
This isn’t surprising to anyone living in this Anti- Black country.
