I just shipped a HUGE upgrade to DocSpring's API: /api/v2/ I've been wanting to fix all these issues for years and it took months of effort, even with AI doing most of the work. We also have nine brand new SDKs all on v4.0.0 with huge improvements. docspring.com/updates/api-v2

Claude is currently debugging one of the craziest and most obscure PDF issues I've seen in the last 9 years

Many people forget that "service" is the last S in SaaS.

My AI agents often need to run queries on my servers to check how many customers are using a feature, etc. They also run a lot of commands when they're doing QA on staging. So I'm building a tool where I can review and approve every command using my Yubikey.

I really like my QA process where Claude fixes stuff, takes screenshots, and gives me a nice artifact page where I can review the changes. It really went above and beyond with all those restore icon options

Claude built me an awesome email marketing system right inside my app. Everything is automated whenever I ship a new PR. Changelog entries and release notes are included with every PR as .md files, so docs get automatically updated and subscribers can get emailed however often they want (e.g. immediately, once a month, once every three months, etc.)

CI is now blazingly fast and running most jobs on my home servers. All our Ruby code is type-checked with Sorbet. PDF engine rewritten in Rust. New design system built and the entire app UI is being overhauled. Fixed every single issue with our API and we're about to launch v2 and new SDKs. I've built two new huge features that I've been wanting to build for many, many years. Another agent is working on a feature where I never even knew if it was possible. It's been a productive week

I built a RAG system on my home server and indexed everything. It means my AI agents can search for anything and find it instantly (via keywords and embeddings)

It's actually really hard to perfectly visually center a checkbox

Hmm this is actually pretty nice. "A document serif for headings. DocSpring is about forms, contracts and signed documents, so a serif ties the brand to paper"

Or just keep it simple... Design is hard!

I might switch from HAML to ERB now that AI is writing all our code. AI agrees that ERB is a better choice

I've been able to ship so much stuff using AI, and yet my todo list has never been longer. It's helping me uncover so much stuff that I didn't even know I needed to do

I'm getting Claude Code to analyze my bash history and all my AI agent session transcripts and figure out what Homebrew packages I no longer need. Then delete all those, update all the rest, and fix everything else that's wrong with Homebrew

Not only does this free up disk space, it also gets rid of a bunch of packages that I don't need to worry about updating

I suppose you could just make your company's codebase open source under some random name on Github and get free CI on Github Actions. I'm not going to do that, but it would save thousands per month without too much downside. A lot of companies already open source their apps
