At this point, I’m convinced Kotu/Kololi are officially designated as NAWEC’s sacrificial lambs. 😭 12 hours without electricity in a 24-hour day is no longer a power outage! The audacity, during an election year too? We’re not even asking for luxury, just electricity. 😩
But THIS is the outrageous part. 😩
It’s almost always evenings through the night until morning, exactly when people are home, trying to eat, sleep, work, study and, you know… actually live.
Kotu/Kololi really got the premium darkness package. @NAWEC_Gambia Lee opa na!

First time ordering on @WayfairUK and having the most ridiculous delivery experience ever! This is unbelievable! Says my parcel’s been delivered when I have not received it and nothing seems to be done when I contact them.

🫀How can Africa tackle the growing burden of hypertension?
Over 130 million people affected in sub-Saharan Africa live with hypertension, yet fewer than 10% achieve blood pressure control.
📚Our latest research highlights why combining proven interventions with locally generated evidence is key to developing solutions that work for African populations.

New research led by @ndeyfa2, a PhD student @LSHTM, shows malaria drug resistance isn’t driven by a single mutation, but a complex combination of genetic changes that help parasites with legacy mutations survive newer treatments.
