There is daylight between the policy commitments of One Nation, the LNP, the Greens and the ALP at present.
You cannot go close to the level of forensic detail and prescription in the ONV policy framework.
I count 11 'social topics', dozens of policies and over 200 unique commitments.
I am not sure why this is not resonating with the electorate - for the hard yards have been done in this material. It would improve the lives of most Victorians no end.
Seems Victorians remain enamoured with promises of 'spend spend' and 'free stuff'.
Stockholm syndrome evidently in their DNA.
Damn near impossible to get vehicle restos done now - some of the best in Vic are booked solid 3 years out.
the impending recession will likely clear the order books out.
I don't know my old Holdens. My oldest was an HQ monaro coupe with a 350. A mate was only 19 when he poured all his bucks into an SLR5000 and dropped a COME racing 355 into it. Madness back then. Slower than a Polestar now.
Let me make this so clear to you that it smacks you in the face.
As cognitive impairment with respect to AI + Data Centres has affected all points of the voting spectrum.
OBSERVATION: You wanted to shut down the exploitation of coal and gas in western economies for some frivolous ideological pursuit to 'save the environment'
YET you've been inexplicably silent in accepting that Chinese and Indian use of these fossil fuels has surged by multiples of whatever pointless reduction western economies made
NOW you want to shut down all data centre development and kneecap the development of artificial intelligence, whilst idiotically parroting 'national security and sovereign capability'
SO WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY'LL DO IN CHINA?
Has anybody noticed that climate change, transgenderism or the progression of AI are NEVER talking points in India or China?
What idiot hobbles their own future, and makes themselves totally vulnerable to external forces?
That'd be you.
YET YOU'LL STILL BUY CHINESE CARS, CHINESE ELECTRONICS, CHINESE SOLAR BATTERIES, PHONES, ROUTERS
every single component of the digital ecosystem you wrap yourself in (whilst X-posting about the perils of AI) - is a new threat vector which YOU WILLINGLY EXPOSE YOURSELF TO.
Your solution starts with getting every ounce of energy out of the ground (we have tens of thousands of years worth BTW)
Building data centres and AI centres of excellence
Fortifying STEM learning in our younger generations
Fostering inquisitiveness in our children
Or perhaps just sit back and bitch about data centres whilst your robovac and coffee machine monitor your conversations
NB - overly woke image for deliberate 'appeal'

Is there a statute of limitations here?
I'm cool with a 3 strikes and out policy for some halfwit who can't enjoy a ham and pineapple pizza. But is 4 years somewhat onerous?
Deport!

The most important piece of legislation this century was the Electoral Legislation Amendment (Electoral Reform) Act 2025, which limits donations to political parties.
It was supposed to come into effect last July but it was postponed to January 2027.
Hey....yeah i prefaced the comment with 'technical' recession. I do get your point however, which is sustained falls in per capita economic activity
David Jones. canva. The banks.
Layoffs are coming thick and fast now.
Here's what i think we'll see:
1. Technical recession has started NOW
2. Employment up .5% by OEFY 26/27
3. Housing collapse to accelerate
4. Credit crunch to emerge late CY27
The knock on effects from the DJ's VA will be worse than i first thought.
At best, they'll shutter two thirds of all stores and hunker down on the flagships.
This means thousands of retail workers now looking for work. Generating no income tax, and drawing down on welfare.
Local suppliers now with less opportunities for revenue, and needing to reclaim large amounts of stock.
Commercial real estate will see falling demand, occupancy rates and revenue.
This is your proverbial stone in a pond....the ripple effect will just grow larger and larger.
Now is PRECISELY the time to shut down worker streams of our migration program
Gutwrenching. Shreds me every time i remember little Matilda. Never forget

@FreedomAus80100 Matilda was murdered in Bondi. Her parents taught her to love her new country and to integrate. Naveed’s parents raised him from birth to hate and gave him the guns for the Bondi massacre. We are not and will never be the same.
Clearly the CCP and Albanese have shared DNA.
They'll bend any truth....just press on with the lie
According to publicly reported PNG police findings, the suspected artillery projectile recently discovered in a commercial shipping container in Port Moresby has been identified as an unexploded Chinese-manufactured 130mm artillery round containing explosives and a fuse. It was not a wine bottle.

In times like these, there is a propensity to draw illogical conclusions.
For instance, not everything the Trump WH did was on the nose. But clearly, much of what it did was displeasing.
There are lessons which should be observed by right wing parties if they seriously wish to vie for elections.
1. Well managed immigration is fine. As is a patriotic stance. But wars and poorly managed international affairs are not.
2. You can go hard on DEI and transgenderism....but meddling with abortion laws is problematic.
It's a matter of whether political parties can practice expediency
This makes for an interesting and frustrating read....

In April 2020, Health Minister Greg Hunt announced that Australia had secured an additional 10 million COVID-19 test kits and pathology equipment through Minderoo, with kits supplied by the Beijing Genomic Institute (BGI), Thermo Fisher and Tecan.
• Many people assumed it was a gift. It wasn't Forrest said the money Minderoo put up will eventually be paid back by the taxpayer. Later documents showed the federal health department paid Forrest's charity more than $212 million for COVID test kits and PPE from China.
• The big press launch made it look like philanthropy, when it was really a charity acting as a purchasing agent for the government.
• Within weeks, Guardian Australia reported the kits were not being used and had been added to the country's strategic reserve. An industry review found Australia already had "more than enough" COVID-19 capacity before the purchase. Some kits later neared expiry unused.
• BGI is a Chinese genomics firm, and Australian experts raised security concerns about it. Forrest's iron ore business depends on China, which made some people wary of his role as a go-between.
The single most important question for the upcoming Vic election is this....
Will the LNP adopt all functions and features of the One Nation 'transparency app' unveiled by Pauline earlier this week.
I will do a detailed write up on this tomorrow. But trust me when i say, if properly implemented, this will save tens of billions in government waste.
Many tens of
You must all harangue @DHughesy until he confirms this.
ONV or LNP, if that app sees the light of day, your lives will improve.
Unless you're a grifter
I was at a talk presented by @DrCameronMurray recently (topic of 'grey corruption' - where lobbying, self-interest and influence undermine good governance)
It took all of two minutes for some deranged nutter to chant the leftist war cry - GINA! but...GINA! In the usual exasperated tones.
Can someone, anyone - explain why these lefties will NOT ONCE mention the name 'Andrew Forrest'?
For all intents and purposes, he's as wealthy as Gina
Overtly, he's more involved in politics. Here are just some of the ex pollies (and their mandarins) who've sold their souls to Twiggy
* Daniel Andrews, advisor to FMG
* Malcolm Turnbull, Chairman of FFI
* Michael Gunner, FFI NT lead
* Larry Marshall (CSIRO) - Director FMG
* Julia Gillard - collaborated with Mindaroo Foundation
* Jay Weatherall - advisor, Minderoo
* Gary Gray - Advisor - Minderoo
* Geoff Gallup - advisor, Minderoo
The intellectual impairment of the left is breathtaking.
If your concern is political influence leveraged by multi-billionaires....
Yet you not once mention Twiggy Forrest's name...
You are not genuinely concerned about corruption at all. You're just a partisan halfwit
For anyone interested in reading more on Twiggy, Malcolm, Larry and a rather disturbing nexus winding its way into the boardroom (and bank accounts) of Blackrock.....you might enjoy this

This is the person I believe to be Australia's most disastrous PM.
Some of you will say Albo - which is partly a psychological phenomenon called 'recency effect'
Others might say Gillard.
But I can't see how anyone comes close to this man.
Not long after the ALP had torn itself to shreds in the famous Rudd-Gillard-Rudd knife fight, you'd think the Liberals would have thought more strategically than to pursue a similar course. But as history shows, they allowed Turnbull to undermine Abbott instantaneously, at every turn.
The man then executed his playbook.
Installed his mandarins at pivot points - Larry Marshall at CSIRO being the most effective of all. Took control of CSIRO, AEMO and BOM to completely shape the narrative on climate change or - more importantly for him - the investment in new technologies to solve this 'non-problem'.
The BoM ROBUST $1B blowout was on Turnbull
The Snowy Hydro 2.0 fiasco is on Turnbull
He is the ultimately Manchurian candidate.
Was he a Blackrock pawn? Was he Twiggy's man in the lodge?
I don't know - but he certainly was not working for the benefit of Australians.
EVERYTHING HE EVER TOUCHED SHOULD BE UNWOUND 'DAY 1'
Why has nobody realised this?
THE MARKET PRICE FOR DATA CENTRES JUST WENT UP.
Data centres are our key to unleashing productivity, and unlocking huge economic benefit.
With the US midterm results now in, data centres will be as popular as the plague.
In other words, US companies will pay MORE to set up DC capability here.
Get that energy out of the ground.
Get those centres built.
Get AI capability stood up.
We'll thrive for decades if we do this now.
