Wednesdayites… one more push at Hillsborough on Saturday before we head into the international break!
It’s been such a positive start to the season and I’m so proud of the work everyone across the club continues to put in. Lots accomplished in a very short period of time but we know there is a long way to go and so much more work ahead.
Saturday gives us an opportunity to finish this opening stretch on a high… another huge crowd, everyone together and giving the lads everything you have!
Unfortunately I won’t be able to join you this weekend and for the next couple of months. I’m heading in for some back surgery and will need a little time to recover before I can make the trip back to Sheffield.
I’ll be there in spirit, and @michaelestorch will be there on Saturday representing the Storch family. I know he can’t wait to get back to Hillsborough and spend time with our @swfc family.
Let’s get behind the team and finish this first part of the season the right way. Keep pushing… keep believing… and most importantly enjoy the journey!
God bless our beautiful @swfc family!

For Those Who Carry It Forward 🦉
Sheffield Wednesday are proud to unveil the club’s home kit for 2026-27.
SWFC x @umbro
Available for pre-order now.
🚨 BREAKING: Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has applied a wind up petition to Sheffield United’s owner! 🤯
The Prince is seeking millions from COH for overdue payments from the purchase of the club.
IF COH is liquidated, it COULD lead to a club sale and/or points deduction. 😳

🚨 Sheffield Wednesday have swooped to sign defender Sil Swinkels from Premier League side Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee. He has signed a three-year deal.
Swinkels spent time on loan at Exeter and Chesterfield last season. He becomes their fourth summer signing. #SWFC 🦉⚽️
Anyone else hoping the new kit reveal will involve Baz and Vardy 😂
Imagine, the shot from behind with those two walking down the tunnel towards the pitch.
Can keep dreaming 😂 #swfc

On BA flight to London on my way to see David Bruce and my friends in Sheffield. David continues to do amazing things across a very broad spectrum… executive team buildout, squad rebuild, Hillsborough safety + so much more, training grounds improvements… all geared to 1 ) improving our competitive performance on the pitch while 2) creating the most safe and enjoyable
environment for you, our fans to watch, enjoy and cheer on our boys in their new kits ( more to come ).
@swfc we are rebuilding off of a rich history…
starts with embracing our history. We have a deep and proud heritage 159 years in the making . We only succeed if we bring back the glory ! And that’s our commitment to you,
@michaelestorch , Tom Costin, David Bruce and his leadership team + me!
Born in 1867… Reborn in 2026!
See you all soon!
Go Owls! #WAWAW
Have a wonderful weekend!
Best,
David
