I can’t overstate what this moment means to me. There were countless times I wanted to quit. Countless nights I questioned why I chose to make a living as a creative. I’ve always just wanted to make my family and friends proud and I’ve often wondered if I have. I’m my own harshest critic. People have told me, “Steven, you did it. You made it. Be proud.” And yes, I am proud of what I’ve built…. But deep down I think I didn’t feel like I had completed the mission until I had my own shoe deal. Today, I can finally check that box. Anyone who knows me knows how much I care about great product, a great story, and respecting the culture. This will be no different.
