This is exactly what I teach: I’m a hitting coach, not a swing coach.
A good-looking swing in a cage is one thing. Adjusting to the count, the situation and the pitch in front of you—that’s hitting.
Always good to see people sharing the same message.

Pay attention infielders.
The best defenders are game changers. In order to be a great defender, you must learn to defend with the mindset of …“playing offense on defense.” Rather than passively waiting for game action.
Expect a rocket… Every pitch. “It’s coming to me!” Prep-step (on time) and be ready to react in/back/laterally. Eyes focused on the imaginary strike zone of the hitter…
Reading angles and react with cat like reflexes…move light, playing ground up, allow internal clock, along with IQ, to dictate necessary footwork and arm angles on throw.
Make the routine and difficult plays look easy. Be in the right place at the right time. Communicate between pitches…. Bring energy!
Trust your instincts and preparation. Dance with the ball from start to finish… and focus small, miss small on throws to 1B (to the center of their chest.) Follow your throw when play allows. Have fun and love getting dirty! Wear Red Clay (or turf pellets!) Ha! #DoingDirtWork

or
It scores a runner.
or
It drives pitch counts.
