today, we introduce a little mischief to the world. for four years, we’ve been brewing real brain cells on electrodes to understand how they compute. now, we’ve turned those discoveries into a video model anyone can use. from 0.5¢ a second, mischief 1 is at least 5x faster than its base and the cheapest image-to-video model on @fal and @OpenRouter. soon to be on @awscloud marketplace. it’s not a delusion anymore. biocompute is real, commercial and this is just the beginning. happy halloween.

If you or your portfolio have not gotten up to speed on the current credit crunch, SFC is hosting an emergency Q&A session tonight, curtsy of our friends at planetscale. luma.com/x2m0vn3r
After this tweet, a GPU provider we already wired $3M to called and asked for $5M more upfront. Said it’s now riskier. He tried to renegotiate a signed contract. Then banks we were in talks with cut their lending offers in half, saying their IC got scared. One reply moved capital markets against everyone building in this space except the people big enough to be immune to it. teapawt.net/elonmusk/status/211443…

Big congrats to Lily and the Rime team - some of the scrappiest folks working in AI right now
introducing prism, the world’s first speech-to-speech model you can’t tell from a human in conversation prism has: > 300ms response time, 4x faster than OpenAI GPT-Live > outperforms every other s2s model on intelligence (with NO reasoning) > the first s2s model customizable through reinforcement learning we’re a team of 35 with $35M in funding, and we’re unlocking s2s model adoption faster than openai, google, and x. the first 100 people to sign up here get 1 month free: rime.ai/prism?utm_campaign=p…

Today in the completely normal, not a doomsday cult world of Stop and/or Pause AI
It's time for governments to initiate kinetic strikes on datacenters. Random people should not do this: that won't help, and is also a crime. But on the off chance any national governments are paying attention, now is the time to do it

Experts in building and managing supercomputers are hard to find. Good thing we have a ton of them at @sfcompute. Plus we’ll manage the compute across your entire portfolio, and help you resell whatever you don’t use. Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too :)
We're helping a number of funds explore this option. If you'd like to secure compute for your portfolio, while you own hardware & its residual value, please reach out. (DMs open) We're a full supercomputing cloud that will make the process turn key for you.

Very cool demo
In 2012 I made a flexible camera prototype. Like the iPhone Duo it uses bend angle to influence how graphics are displayed on screen, but this goes beyond. Bending the device re-orients the cameras moving from normal to wide FOV shots

It would be a tragedy for embedding models to become narrowly optimized for retrieval in the same way that generative text models have become narrowly optimized for conversational rollout. There is much magic to explore in the realm of representations.

"a thousand agents, in your pocket."
large scale agent coordination, now in your pocket: - develop with agents across multiple machines - start workspaces from any repo or branch - keep work isolated in separate workspaces - run custom agents across providers and models - steer agents by text, voice, or image - switch models and reasoning mid-chat - answer agent questions & accept proposals - review agent work in browsers - compare before & after screenshots - review diffs & commits - create & step through diagrams - run terminals, scripts, and dev server previews - update context in specs, notes, and tasks - watch hooks, PRs, and why agents woke - monitor agent status - get notified of important changes available now in Intent Mobile: intentapp.dev

Great open source app for connecting Apple services to models via MCP
iMCP 1.7.0 is here, with a new Home service for HomeKit, Voicemail, and editable Reminders and Calendar events. Good timing, with Apple announcing HomeView yesterday — now your Mac's assistant can help run the house, too 🏠 github.com/mattt/iMCP/releas…
